Thinking of hair transplant, Pics, need advice, in Brussels.

Hello Fellas

The quick and dirty. I have been on the Big 3 for 7 months now. I have not seen any improvements, but I have not seen it get any worse. I feel that if i continue with finasteride, I can keep what I have. However, my hair line is so ugly (you can see in the pics). If I had a stronger hairline, I would be much less bothered my my head. So my questions.

1. I am in Brussels, can anyone recommend a good, reputable doctor that I can go see in order to see if I am eligible for a hair transplant to strengthen my hairline. I would travel to areas around here too (UK, France, Germany, etc).

2. From my pictures, would a hair transplant be a good idea?

3. What is the cost for the best? I don't want to mess around with amateur doctors because I do not need that large of a hair transplant right now.

4. Any other thoughts you have would help.

The pics are all taken in my flat...my hairline is borderline nonexistent outside in the sun. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give me!

You're kinda thin all over mate, I think it would be a mistake to just get a strong hairline done.
Like you said treatments are unlikely to improve things but should maintain it as it is. 7months is'nt that long I'd wait another 6months to be sure its not getting worse, at least there is 1 good Dr in Brussels Dr ********. Maybe you should have a consultation with him just to see what your options are.

blah...thanks man...i'd kill for a strong frontal island. i see really bald guys with a great hairlines, and i wonder to myself, who is better off, me or him. i have more hair on top of my head, but the hairline is everything. ah well

Anthony, I agree with you. I would like my frontal central area thickened up. My thinning is opposite to most people. I have thinning down the front center. I have a true widow's peak that is disappearing and I want it restored. I would only need at the most 500 FUE to restore it back to a nice thick hairline.

Plus 1. Dr B has some good pics floating around.

Take your time and lots of research.

Your hairline is excellent and the buzzed look actually looks good. I'd consider keeping it buzzed like that. Even if you weren't thinning, it's a good look for you.

I agree if he's over 5 foot 10 he could shave it, guys shorter than that rarely look good with their heads shaved.

I would not get strip if I were you because the short hair looks good and you would not be able to shave it that low regardless of how good your scar is.

I have not heard many good things about foreign hair transplant surgery but then again I never researched it and on ly here about the European butcher jobs

The Norwood chart doesnt really apply to you as you are a thinner not a receeder. If you'r hair was thick you'd be a nw1or2.

How old are you ?

Are you using rogaine foam or the liquid ? I have had incredible results from Foam/Propecia/nizoral, I was using Rogaine liquid but switched to foam and my growth took off

I am 25 years old and have been on Fincar, Rogaine Foam and Nizoral for 7 months. I have pretty much maintained what I had when I started and but my hairline was shot before I got smart and started the Big 3. I have not seen any regrowth yet but I will continue to use them.

You should give them at least a year+ for the full effect :nono:

Especially when your thinking of spending thousands on a transplant.

You still have time to see more results with the big 3. My results started to really show from months 10-12 and it looks like they have maintained pretty well. (i've been on the big 3 for nearly 2 years.) Also, the hairline doesnt really look all that bad...the hair looks not bad at all buzzed down short. I don't know how you feel about concealers but if you were to give toppik or dermamatch a try I think you would definitely be pleased.

Yeah, I see what you guys are saying. Maybe the hair transplant idea was a knee-jerk reaction. I thought it could be a quick fix. I just got sick of seeing myself in photos with my friends and my hairline looks horrible. A flash is a killer for a diffuse thinner.

Damn people tagging me in photos on Facebook, now everyone knows I am bald!

And I used Toppik for 2 years, but it just started to become a pain in the ***, and I am living abroad now and travelling every weekend with friends, so I did not want to be in the bathroom every morning putting that in. I just buzzed it off, and now I would look pretty foolish if I went back on it since everyone knows I am bald now.

Thanks for the advice, I'll just keep fighting the good fight.

Anthony83,

I think your hair looks great, but I'm just going by the photos. Keep it up. Maybe just take Fincar and focus on your diet, which is be as healthy as you can be.
