I’m taking 1 mg of propecia some days on a night, some days on the morning.

Is there a routine that optimises propecia ? I’ve seen a lot of conflicting information on here. Also is there any vitamins I should absolutely be on right now ? Any foods I should be eating ? And is there anything I should absolutely stop doing e.g smoking, bad diet ? posting sh*t on here ? to help with hairloss.

Looking for some really good feedback here to ease my mind for a few months.

Take finasteride and dermaroll minoxidil. Use supplements like biotin, B6 and zinc.

I'm the same as you, on tues thurs and sun i take my propecia after class around 9pm, on monday and wednesday im usually taking it around 4-5pm, unfortunately im 14 months in and not seeing any results so its possible that my scheduled dosing is messing with the effects of finasteride, or my hairloss is just too aggressive.

The doctor who rpescribed it to my brother put alot of emphasis on taking it at the same time everyday, and my brother has seen stellar results, so there may be something to the dosing schedule.

Also, you should keep in mind that due to the Estrogen increase of being on finasteride, it would be ideal to focus on your diet and be a little more health conscious as ive found its easier to gain weight since being on finasteride, and a little harder to lose while being on it.

Again, this is all advice from someone who is barely responding to the drug, it may be slowing my loss but in no way is it stopping it. good luck man!

Just a thought but hormone activity is highest in the early A.M. which explains morning wood, wet dreams etc

So it probably makes sense to take it just before sleep

Mate I'm 25 and currently a nw2.5 waiting for the day I'm nw3... good coverage when my hair is dry and styled, diffuse throughout when my hair is wet

Yeah I've seen a lot of people say they take it and skip days, doesn't make sense to me just take it everyday. Also diet must play a massive part or at least some, having a healthy hair is what a good diet can offer. Thanks for the input, what are your thoughts on future treatments ?

I take it every day whenever, unless I forget which is pretty often. been on it for over 5 years. Dht suppression lasts a couple days so I figure it doesn't matter.

Studies show it raises testosterone noticeably in some men and caused statistically significant increase in muscle mass in some older dudes. Study was on guys in 70s so unknown if that applies to us.

I would say over half the info on the forums is pure bunk, so I get everything from studies.

There’s to much conflicting information, you may of just contributed to that why not just take it every day ?

How is your hair after five years then ? Do you know much about anti anogens?

Read the studies, thats where I get my info. Finasteride leaves your system pretty fast but it takes your body a few days to produce more 5AR so DHT is suppressed for a while.

I know a bit about them but it's all from open access studies. One reason doctors know so much more is because they have subscriptions to systems that allow access to non-free journals. Most guys on the internet are clueless.

Hair is fine, pretty much static since I started NW2

You just take finasterde? I’m a Norwood 2.5 and I’m been advised different stuff

Yup that's it. Nothing else is even close to as effective besides dutasteride and sometimes minoxidil. If finasteride works for you IMO there's no point to use anything else
