Loads and loads of people asking for suggestions about what shampoo to use when they arent using Nizoral. The answer is simple: Lock, Stock and Barrel thickening shampoo. Ive used literally hundreads and this is BY FAR the best. Of course the shampoo provides only a cosmetic improvement, as that is all any shampoo can realistically do. But this one is the best by a mile. Try it and see.

Why use one that is only cosmetic? I use Organix Hydrating Teatree Mint shampoo, comes with teatree oil, soybean oil, peppermint oil and VitE. All compounds that are shown to have a positive effect on hair growth. It also does a reallllly good job at controlling inflammation.

I like something that may actually help with our situation as well. Two are in my "view my regimen"...others I like are Lamas' and Elsom Research's. The latter just came out with a new one...have yet to try it yet.

I use NANO on my off days from nizoral.

It has some reasonable science behind it and cosmetically thickens the hair too.

Hi Global, Ive also heard that the cosmetic effect of Nano is good. But its not true to say theres good "science" behind it. The general concensous is that no shampoo (save Nizoral) has a measurable effect on hairloss.

HUH?? :) The "science" behind it is that there's a nitric oxide group in the chemical structure of NANO, just like there is in minoxidil. Dr. Proctor (who has been using NANO for decades in his products) says unequivocally that NANO works like he says it does.

Didn't Dr. P also say his product works better than any other agent out there? I believe it

Bryan I was referring to the Nano shampoo only.

Are you saying that NANO works as a hairgrowth stimulator when used in other topical products, but not when used in a shampoo?

I am curious about this Nano shampoo, does it work in both thickening and stimulating growth?

Im saying the NANO shampoo does not work as a hairgrowth stimulator when used in isolation with no other treatments.

Then I'll repeat what I said before: the "science" behind it is that there's a nitric oxide group in the chemical structure of NANO, just like there is in minoxidil. Dr. Proctor (who has been using NANO for decades in his products) says unequivocally that NANO works like he says it does.
