Would it be ok to take finasteride at 17 if you are already fully grown?

I was just wondering because I started losing young, at 17, and was thinking wud it have been possible at the time to get on finasteride

I figured it would be ok because I havent grown or changed any since (I am 21 and fully bald now).

too bad I didn't know about finasteride back then :(

It was too early to take then. Take it now? So what if you're fully bald. The loss is recentish, you never know, you may be surprised with how it goes.

Besides Finasteride, it seems like you weren't aware of other treatment options Exodus2011. You could have taken Finasteride at age 17, which is a bit early, but I think for some males they should be fine with it.

I don't particularly agree for anyone to take finasteride before their 20's tbh but some say it's fine. You definitely should try it now that you know you're good.

I would give it a try since your hair loss is fairly recent. Hit it with the big 3 for a year and see what happens. Treatments are cheap enough to give it a try.
