Study Finds 62% Of Prescription Medications Ordered From "online Pharmacies" Are Substandard Or Fake

I frequently try to convince people to get finasteride from legit local pharmacies and it's largely ignored ... So I found a study that might (hopefully) convince some people that buying random rx drugs online is a bad idea .

In the study they lab tested a bunch of drugs they ordered from online pharmacies and found 62% we're substandard or fake. Meaning they failed the lab test for the drug they were supposed to be. The counterfeits included both generics and "brand name", and some had convincing packaging.

And I'm not talking about legit online pharmacies like the mail order stuff insurance companies run. I mean the ones that will ship you anything if you have an address and a credit card... The ones used by a lot of people here.

The usual response I get is that the pharmacy has cred on the forums or that the pills and packaging "look real". But that's the whole point of counterfeits. Would you order again if it looked like somebody made it in their backyard? Maybe if you're buying RU....

Just saying, there's evidence all over that online pharmacies frequently sell fake drugs. I don't understand the draw of not getting something locally.... It's usually cheaper, faster, easier, and it's safer.

I think alot of people order online as some doctors wont give prescriptions for finasteride despite the FDA approval, most docs wont even consider dutasteride. I take oral minoxidil, no doctor would ever prescribe me that lol. Buying online is the only way for alot of people to get the drug they want. Getting it legitimately is obviously better but its not an option for everyone.

Was suspicious the med I was taking Fincom (ordered it from India) could be fake. Took it for about 3 months. I will say I was having a lot of hair shedding so I don't know for sure. I will say I had these weird hot flashes while taking it that immediately went away whenever I started taking the finasteride prescribed by a dermatologist.

IIRC correctly there is a site called Medical Wellness Center where you can fill out a consultation form and pay 50 dollars and they will give you a script you can take to a brick and mortar pharmacy. It wasn't too hard to get finasteride for me. My derm hadn't heard of it before but I just firmly told her I needed it and showed her a website saying it is the treatment for baldness and then she wrote it for me. You can get it pretty cheap from places like Costco and Sam's Club too.

I agree to a certain extent with Finjunkie but I'm a total hypocrite and have just ordered some Propecia from one of these pharmacies lol. Hopefully the products I receive are in the 38%! For me it's about time, getting a prescription etc...like most people, I guess it is a little lazy but we are in the age of convenience. Counterfeiting is sh*t.. period, however if people such as myself takes those risks then the least we should do is educate ourselves about how to identify obvious counterfeits, that's definitely possible IMO ordering from places such as India and Thailand is asking for trouble.

PS. know of any GOOD sites where I can order Dutasteride 0.5mg with the insurance of knowing they will work?

I would prefer if they were cheap tbh, but anything sails the boat as long as they work and aren't 60 or 50USD per 30 capsules... Cause then thats just retarded

My finasteride is from AllDayChemist, although after a year on the stuff its done nothing positive for me, im still losing my hair. Oral minoxidil is from Thailand Pharmacy, brrn on it almost 3 months now and my hair loss has stopped and im even slowly regrowing

AllDayChemist are legitimate. Many people on these forums have had success using their products. Their dutasteride which I've used for four years has given me very good results. It has completely stopped my hair loss and has given me considerable thickening in the areas my hair had thinned. I've also bought furosemide from AllDayChemist which was also definitely legitimate.

AllDayChemist is definitely legit, and my favorite place to buy my treatments.. there is nothing wrong with their finasteride i was just a bad responder, plain and simple.

I bought some Propecia from evopharmacy recently, took a few days to arrive but it was packaged well and it looks genuine as far I can tell.
