Yeah you had some great success it looks like. What do you contribute to be the most
helpful? finasteride by itself or the combination of min and finasteride?

finasteride. Min didn't do anything for my hair, and it gave me an irregular heart beat (which I didn't notice until several months in).

I don't see any male pattern baldness. Where are the before photos?

That right there = "Mission accomplished"

I think I know what you mean with the constantly shedding & regrowing with minoxidil. If I look at photos of myself from christmas, my hair looks terrible, even in lighting that isn't that harsh. Now it has thickened out again. I also had lines on my forehead about a year after starting it, and I started clipping my fringe up just after applying it (i only apply once/day before bed), then showering as soon as i wake up. The lines on my forehead disappeared and the quality of skin also improved. I don't feel like it's doing much for me anymore and am going to taper off of it once i've been on finasteride for long enough.

Seems I have some crown issues, which are not as noticeable when my hair is longer. It's just barely noticeable in the pic below

However, I decided to buzz my hair down to a three I believe.

At first I thought it was too much caffeine. I do have mvp (mitral valve prolapse), so excessive caffeine will cause irregular heartbeats also, and passing out if its bad enough. So, I cut the caffeine intake. Then I noticed that consistently, about four hours after applying minoxidil, the heart beat would race and get irregular. So, I stopped for a few days. The symptom went away, I started using minoxidil again, symptom came back. So, I stopped again, symptom went away. I think that was pretty conclusive. I didn't know that was a potential side effect, but it is.

For me I notice it when I work out or do cardio exercise. I get tired easily and get a pain in my chest. After quitting minoxidil this went away and went back to normal again. Of course I had some shedding and my hair looks worse now. But I'm tired of dealing with the side effects

There is still a lack of density, especially noticeable in harsh light, overall it's ok I guess. The one area that Bosley pointed out as something they could improve was the area above the right temple. Of all the thin areas that one is the thinnest. Do you think it could be filled in, or should I leave it alone?

This is great, basically you should have a full head of hair going into your 50s. Even if some areas eventually give in, can fill them with transplants. Hair has gone darker or is dye? I don't think that thin part is an issue, very minor. I'm in my late 20s but hoping I've got a full head of hair on finasteride and future transplants into middle age.

I really think it's possible based on the science and fact we don't have ultra aggressive genes.

That's my natural hair color, no dye.

Growth at the temples? If so, when did you see soft hairs?

Here's some better lighting shots with a clear shot of the midscalp area where thinning can clear be seen.

The crown for good measure

Taken minutes apart at different angles with increased harsh lighting

visible thinning

With enough texture from hair putty it possible to minimize it in favorable light.
