Hi
I would like to know whether the scalp gets any allergies, excessively moist, decompose, macerate if you wear a hairpiece for a long time. Because even if you wear a band-aid on a finger, the skin covered by the band-aid tends to get very soft/moist after only a day. Isn't attaching a hairpiece with adhesive/tape kind of similar, and does it not result in a similar condition over time ? how do people keep their hairpeices on for weeks without running into problems ?

Thanks

You can get problems if you keep a hairpiece on for too long at a time. The ideal is about a week. People who keep their pieces on for a month (mainly people who are with one of the hair club-type places, who can't take their piece off) often do get rashes and itches under the piece, or even the dreaded hairpiece smell. That's why those places are better avoided. With a lace unit a week is fine, maybe a few days longer at a pinch. Skin units are less breathable, so a shorter time is better.
