Should the lace front be completely attached or not?

My hairdresser says the lace front can't be attached completely to the skin. So right now I have it just laying on my scalp, but it elevates when I pull on the hair. The tape is a few mm-s in the further, not strictly up to the very edge of the lace. Is this really supposed to be like this or should the front part be completely glued/ taped and stuck to my skin as well? I want my hairline to be exposed and hair combed back.

Yes, it needs to be completely attached. The lace only disappears when it is attached.

Exactly, wtf! Luckily I bought some glue and just attached it myself with a brush.

Is it normal that I have to add some extra glue to the hairline every day? The borders tend to loosen. What's the correct way to do it then? Clean the old glue away with alcohol and add new glue? I also bought some kind of tape. Should I do it with that instead (cut an extra thin slice out of it and apply it exactly on the borders)? Or should I be taking it all of at this point and reattach it all properly again?
Thanks!

No, that is not normal if you are using normal hairpiece glue. You should get at least 4 or 5 days. I would guess either the piece or your head was not completely free of oil when you installed.
