Hi, since starting finasteride my I'm pretty sure the slight thinning I had on the sides has accelerated. I appear to have also lost ground in my hairline. Not really sure what's going on. Did this happen to anybody else? I think I had a point around 4 months where I was happy about the results but it feels like it's now all gone to ****.
I've attached a pic, the default uploader on site won't work so here's a link:

From left to right it's: 1.5 months, 4 months & 5.5 months of finasteride.

NO! What you need is patience, patience and again patience!

I was frustrated until i hit the month nr.6. Then i saw first results.

If I were you, i would take finasterid up to 15 months.

Some see results after 3 months, some 6 and some after 1 or 2 years.

Give finasterid a time!

Thank you. I really needed that, I'll stick with it. Did you notice your hair looked thinner for a while following the initial shedding?

I stuck with finasteride 11 months. Lost more hair.
I switched to dutasteride and stuck with it 11 months. Lost more hair.
I then got my DHT levels checked. Cost me $60 or so.

Turns out I'm one of the rare people who these medications don't block DHT production in. My DHT levels were perfectly normal on dutasteride.

ie. These meds do nothing to me.

Get your DHT levels checked.

I switched to RU58841 and my hair has been fantastic since.

Im 9 months in finasteride and im losing ground faster than before treatment. I wouldn't drop it yet, you have came this far so stick it out for a year, add in something else to your regiment too! I recommend oral minoxidil.

As far as I know there's only one reputable retailer selling it.

Anagen Inc which is the same as Kane Shop.

Been buying for two years no problems. Once they only sent one pack of RU when I ordered two. I sent Kane (the guy who runs it) an email and he sent me the missing one no problem.

Good service, good product. I'm satisfied. Saved my hair.
RU is topical like minoxidil? And did it reverse hairloss for you?

I know this message isn't directed at me but i'll chime in anyway. RU and minoxidil work in different ways. RU addresses the issue directly while minoxidil works in an unknown temporary way, simply masking the damage.

Beacause it is not FDA approved and expensive. No treatment works for everybody, thats why you have to use as many treatments as you can at once to get the best result.
