Sensative Scalp. Should I Just Stop Trying?

These days my scalp has been incredibly sensitive. i can't use regenepure or revivogen because my scalp seems to get itchy in the fairly quickly thinning areas the next day. maybe its the saw palmetto in them i dunno. but it decreases abit when i go for more gentle shampoos for a couple of days.

but then i also seem to get the itch from scalp massages and using castor and coconut oil. it lasts for a few days like inflammation and then quiets down abit if i let my scalp rest. although i never used to have this issue with castor or coconut oil.

i stopped using dutasteride over a month ago because it also gave me a tingle and itch. although alot stronger of one. so maybe i fucked my scalp up.

Should i just stop? the itch doesn't seem like a positive thing but anything applied to scalp seems to make it worse.

But why would stuff like coconut oil encourage the DHT itch? even regenepure which has keto in it doesn't help

scalp massages do it, spironolactone cream does it, everything seems to increase the itch.

You gotta go big or go home Neddy, there's not much left to try except the heavy hitting anti androgens.

but they don't help. an itchy scalp has never come across to me as a positive sign, infact its often seen as a bad sign and yet everything gives me an itchy scalp lately in the thinning areas. well apart from giving my scalp a rest from these products for a few days... but that never used to happen over a year ago.

My scalp used to be fine with all this stuff.

Well I tried some soothing and anti-irritation shampoo for sensitive scalps today and It hasn't done much at all for the itch.

I'm drained by all this. Finasteride/dutasteride makes it worse. spironolactone cream makes it worse. Coconut oil for some reason makes it worse. Scalp massages for some reason make it worse. Aloe Vera gel makes it worse. Regenepure and reviogen makes it worse.

Should I just stop trying? This never used to happen but now it is... I dunno what to do.

Is It bad enough that you can’t focus, your short with kid or kids bc you’re hurting, do you have to leave work early bc it hurts to much.... do you get scared of extended drives bc you know damn well your heads not gonna have it?

It is effecting me emotionally. It's just all confusing. I don't feel I can use any of the stuff you guys use to stop hairloss because everything just seems to irritate the areas that are thinning. Only thing that doesn't is doing nothing :'(... None of it seems normal.

Imagine putting spironolactone cream on, then in an hour your hairline is tingling quite strongly.

Fairly convinced this side effect is a result of having took dutasteride for some time.

I just dunno how to fix it now.

Maybe attack this from another angle is your shower water to hard? Try installing a filter it could be chemicals in your water . Calcium, chlorine, flouride apple cider vinegar riinses can help balance the pH of an irritated scalp .

For the next 2 days just wash And rinse. Your hair in the sink with distilled water if that helps than I would.try a water filter on your shower head

i tried distilled but it didn't change anything.

having done more research it seems your scalp sensitivity and hairloss can be affected by meds or toxins in your system, and im still convinced its a side effect of having taken dutasteride for a few months before stopping.

I did have sleep issues, low sex drive and gut issues for a few weeks after i stopped, but they are improving as time goes on... the scalp thing seems to be taking longer, and thats only if i am right thats its down to dutasteride which i can officially say may not have been a great idea to touch.

I just dunno how to help myself right now.

there is a good homemade remedy for sensitive scalps, and it is mixing brown vinegar with peanut butter and massaging it into your scalp.

mix 1 tablespoon of peanut butter to every 100mls of brown vinegar. best to make 3 portions and spread generously over your head and massage it in. leave it there for about an hour and shower and wash it off.

do this 3 times a day for a week and your scalp should be alot less sensitive.

I just tried this. I have no idea if it's going to work, but it smelled so good that I ended up eating most of it.

I think that many scalps are so sensitive these days, has a lot to do with the brain washing of the regressive left, especially on the college campus.
It's all about the victim hierarchy: I'm the most sensitive scalp! No, I'm the most sensitive scalp! Your scalp is privileged, et cetera.
I treat my hair (or what's left of it) with classical liberalism twice a day, and it has worked wonders.

Well i have tried a shampoo called Klorane (soothing and anti-irritating for sensitive scalp) and it did very little. infact it might have slightly increased the irritation some what.

Its possible it a systematic issue that needs to be detoxed or fixed.

Update: Well i tried activated charcoal shampoo, cider vinegar rinse and coconut conditioner and last night, this morning, afternoon and most of the evening my scalp has been the alot more calm then its has been in a long time. i can feel of a faint itch every so often but for the most part something i used seems to have been effective.

I just dunno what it is. id automatically assume its the apple cider vinegar rinse, but if so i dunno what it did to help.

Although i applied some minoxidil a little while ago and the itch is kinda back. im just waiting to see if it subsides.
