They better hope it is just baking soda and not some carcinogenic Chinese lab sh*t.

I know right? I respect individuals who give it a shot because they can't handle the sides from oral AAs, but skipping right past finasteride for because it's """"poison"""" without even trying it is laughable.

There aren't a lot of people skipping right past finasteride.

Where's the actual study about RU causing blindness?

+1 i'd like to know

The only thing potentially associated with Low DHT is dry eye syndrome, androgens are involved in lacrimal functions, but blindness ? Seems odd.

So much for a 'useless hormone' anyway

Androgen Deficiency and Dry Eye Syndrome in the Aging Male

Androgen support of lacrimal gland function.

Hypophysectomy-induced regression of female rat lacrimal glands: partial restoration and maintenance by dihydrotestosterone and prolactin.

Note the 'partial' restoration, yes some lacrimal glands damage are irreversible

I think that study doesn't even exist.

This is a fascinating thread. Why on earth would anyone test RU58841 on RABBITS in any case? They are useless in the study of hair loss. It is fascinating how rumors and innuendo spread.

I suspect it is the same way that they belief that "RU is not stable in solution" got spread. I have no proof, but I think this is bogus as well.

As for the original claim, there are only 16 published studies on RU, and none of them have to do with retinas or rabbits:

What else can I say?

In 20/30 Years when people will be using RU for it's intended purposes, they will be looking back at you guys using RU as the guinea pigs that helped find the usage for the drug.. What the f*** do you expect using an unknown substance that you probably got off the internet on your skin for absorbtion. Good luck.

Acne and hair loss were its intended purposes. And there are zero studies on RU, rabbits, or retinas. This is bogus urban legend.

Doesnt this mean finasteride is more harmful to eyes than ru?

Since only 1% of ru go systematic?

Possible, hard to judge with a topical compound, and i'm not even sure they observed this effect on human lacrimal glands.

Nobody is giving a f***

I plan to start out at 25mg/ml RU for the first week and then up to 50mg/ml thereafter.
Would be acceptable to use stemoxydine as a vehicle for RU? or should I use minoxidil, or even something else?
I prefer ethanol and PG myself for RU. That’s what they used in the studies and what has worked for me. I’m not crazy about mixing RU with anything that has water in it
