Hey guys, Xaser94 here again with some great news. I feel like with all the recent excitement with Jak inhibitors at the recent conference and with all the recent treatments we are in a way getting spoiled but heres some more great news!

RiverTown Therapeutics is a clinical stage startup with a novel, topically applied prescription product that promotes the recruitment of new hair follicles, and/or rejuvenates existing follicles that have become dormant in humans with androgenic alopecia. The lead compound, RT1640 is a combination of three agents that together have thousands of people/years exposure in humans with excellent safety profiles. When applied to areas of hair loss (scalp, eyebrows, beard) RT1640 promotes the reanimation of hair follicles through the recruitment and differentiation of follicular stem cells, including melanocyte stem cells. As a result of these events, new hair grows over the bald areas. In addition, if the subject had achromotrichia (gray or white hair from color-loss) before hair loss, it grows back as pigmented hair. RT1640 has been tested in scores of animals and on seven humans with androgenic alopecia, all of whom have responded with hair growth. There are several follow-on indications beyond androgenic alopecia, including wound healing and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. All of the technologies rely on the company's proprietary technology of recruitment and differentiation of stem cells in situ.

The CEO is involved in a company called Gliamed, which deals with wound healing.

The Company’s small molecule lead drug candidate, GM1485, has been shown to induce autologous stem cells in vivo and to regenerate a variety of damaged tissues. Successfully regenerated tissues include: neurons, cardiac tissue, cartilage, blood vessels and others.

The company created small molecule compounds that retained the neuroregenerative properties of FK506 while eliminating its immunosuppressive activity. I believe RiverTown therapeutics was only created this April. So information is still lacking.But maybe they are looking into a partnership via Follica and this is the compound they are trialing? Damn Im kinda jumping to conclusions but this is making sense in my head lmao. What do u guys think?

I think everyone is exhausted from all the new companies who never make it to phase 3, I cant blame them really. Or maybe its because there isnt much info out there regarding them. Either way Ill update this thread with any new info I get. And I really appreciate bringing attention to it, I believe hairlosscure2020 will on the next blog post as well. You guys rock!

All these individuals/companies declaring that their product regrows hair. Dr. Brotzu has always sounded resoundly adamant and now we have Dr. Weinstein making these claims.

Until I see it I remain skeptical. A wider question has to be why these Doctors make such claims. Are they true? If they are made up then these doctors need to take a long hard look at themselves. Personally if I was a Doctor I would never make up medical claims that weren't true. I hope these Docs think that way too.

I dont think so. It says that the three agents have exposure in thousands of ppl, and for years, They could just be 3 drugs that people have been taking. If it was natural id assume it would be a cosmetic and it wouldnt make sense for them to go throught clinical trials like they are now.

I couldn't find any info about RT1640 online but we could try and find the patent or some information that will tells us which compounds they are using.
Should give us some insight into how effective this might be and whether we can come up with our own version of it.
