Restarted Finasterde, Different Experience

Hi all, been lurking for about a year on the site and decided it was time to get on 1mg finasteride.

I’ve been using it for 3 months but stopped for about 3 weeks due to some certain circumstances but recently began again for 2 weeks so far.

When first starting the effects kicked in almost immediately however ever since I restarted recently, my hairs getting worse?

So just wondering anyone knows what’s happening?

finasteride doesn't show immediate results, but hair does naturally have higher and lower periods of shedding throughout the year.. That's probably what was going on the first time. Stick with finasteride this time and review at the 1 year mark, preferably year 2.

How’s your hair bro? Still on finasteride?

Yup, I just passed the 2 year mark. Its a strange one for me as I'm also on Cypro and oral minoxidil. The minoxidil has definitely regrown hair but its regrowing extremely slowly and is still pretty thin.. Toppik sticks to it like no tomorrow lol. The thing is I do still feel like I'm receding but instead of going completely bald in those areas minoxidil is keeping those hairs in a half alive half dead state. They've definitely gotten longer and a tiny bit thicker since switching to drinking liquid but they are not terminal. The hairs I shed are still thinning towards the root. I think the Cypro may be slowing things down a bit though.. I'm going to keep on with the treatments and hope the 'new' thinner hairs eventually turn terminal.. If they do I will literally be a NW0.5
