Regaine, Finasteride, Nizoril - Do They Work?

A hair loss consultant has recommended I start using Regaine, Finasteride, Nizoril after diagnosing me as Norwood 3.

Anyone experience of using all 3 and what to expect?

Do you notice much shedding at start or do they counteract each other to stop that?

Shedding when starting hairloss medications is normal, and that's a sign that it's working. Minoxidil is known to cause shedding, more than finasteride.
I started only with finasteride (now 15 months in) and from week 3/4-6 i was shedding like CRAZY. I was nervous, but it subsided and so did my male pattern baldness itch. Then i knew it was doing something. I only recently started minoxdil, and haven't experienced any shed yet. I kind of hope i do, so i know its working.

When does the minoxidil shedding usually appear and end ?

"Thus, it is not uncommon to see a temporary increase in shedding during the first two to three weeks using Minoxidil products. This increase in shedding is only temporary and should subside within a couple of weeks with continued treatment". Some experience a shed again after 3-6 months, but the hair that falls out should be replaced by healthier hairs. So don't panic if it happens.

Expect to maintain most of your hair although expect the first year to be a roller coaster where your hair thins and thickens.

Mate he didn't ask if they worked, he asked what to expect. Probably new to this univers, let him be.

There is something call GOOGLE. May be we should start from the very begin and explain to him how google works ? Cause this combo have being use it since 21 years ago.

Thats true. Maybe he needed personal opinions about how the treatment worked. But even that, he should be able to find something on here.

The big 3 should be finasteride, duasteride and RU58841.

I don't think Nizoral should be in the Big 3 either. Most people would agree it hardly does anything as a hair loss treatment. The only thing it did for me is irritate my scalp and fry my hair.

Nizoral makes your hair look like absolute sh*t which is why a conditioner is absolutely necessary afterwards. I use Nizoral as much to get rid of dandruff, as hair loss, and for dandruff it works well.
