Here's some background information first:
Age: early 20's
Age hair loss began: 16
I am 20 years old and I start losing my hair when I was
16 years old. In the middle of October 2006(18 years old) I
lost a lot of hair (diffused thinning) in my frontal area
and it was very obvious. In the middle of November 2006 I
started using regaine 5% extra strength for men and until
10th of January 2007(2,5 months on treatment) I had regrown
my hair back that I lost and nobody could thing that I was
balding before. My mother couldn't believe it. Unfortunately
due to redness and itching of scalp, I made the wrong to
stop the regaine. Then, since 10th of April 2007 I
understood that regaine was the only treatment that helped
me to regrew my hair back so I started it again for 4 months
until the middle of August 2007 but no difference was seen
and I haven't regrown the hair that I lost after stopping
regaine. Until February 2008 I tried lots of other
treatments that didn't helped me. In the end of February
2008, I started propecia & nizoral shampoo 2% and in June
2008 I started again regaine 5% extra strength for men, to
see if it will helped as before 2 years. Also since 4th of
August 2008 I started Proxiphen and Nano shampoo.
I would like to know why when I used regaine 5% extra
strength for second time in 10th of April 2007 I haven't
seen the regrowth that I saw the first time I used it on
November 2006? I would like to tell me if the combination I
use now with propecia , regaine 5% extra strength,
Proxiphen, nizoral 2% and nano shampoo will help me to
regrowth my lost hair and if it will have the same
effectiveness as I had with regaine 5% extra strength that
I used it for first time? I also read that the use of
Retin-A can triple the absorption and effectiveness of
minoxidil(regaine) if it is used once a day, probably at
night before regaine 5%. If I also use Retin-A is it best
for the regrowth results and for the effectiveness of
regaine 5% or it's better to avoid Retin-A because proxiphen
also contains tretinoin(Retin-A).
