Flip man just seen you got photo updates. Your hair coming on lepas and bounds and its still early days. Good stuff. Looks like you wont have to wear the fibres no more. result!

Cheers guys....it means a hell of a lot to finally have a couple of opinions justifying what I've been thinking for the past couple of weeks without being able to ask anyone!

Still getting a period of irritation and itching over the last week or so and the back of my head isn't filling in as quickly...but yeah, it's getting there and it is starting to get a stage where soon I'll be able to do without the fibres hopefully. If anything, if it wasn't for the back of my head I'd probably stop using them right now.

My hair has also gone a slightly darker colour too which I take could be down to the fact that it's filling in....

Yeah that can only be a good thing. To the untrained eye your crown looks like its not thinning at all the the daylight pic. And your temples are definitely filling in aswell. Keep it up! :woot:

Hi guys, just coming up to the 4th month today and took a few pictures so thought I'd throw them up on here and see what you think so far. Something is definitely happening anyway although the side of my fringe is still a bit 'wonky', my hair has recently been cut down and this was just after a shower and they're not comparable to previous pictures in terms of lighting and that, but please, opinions would be great :)

Cheers guys....I think a faux hawk might take a bit longer to work! But hey, it'd be great to be at that stage at any point soon :woot:

That is very good. Fair play. I started on finasteride last week. minoxidil has defo halted but not much regrowth. In housepharmacy is so cheap! u using minoxidil and nizoral too??

Re: James' Story - (25)- 4 Months in (New Pics Month 4 added!)

Sure am mate, I'm applying the minoxidil every night and sometimes twice over the weekend per day. Using the nizoral 2-3 times per week, reminds me that I'm running low on that actually....will have to sort that out this week.

Well, got brave this weekend and threw some american crew fiber on my hair and went for a drive with my mate yesterday without the nanofibres and then went for a meal with my family today....without the concealer. It's not perfect but the fiber does a nice job of messing the hair up a little bit plus I can mess my fringe up a little bit and stick it up, which kind of helps.

I just so want to not apply the nanofibres for nights out with my friends though! I know that time will hopefully come...just got to be patient! I'm hoping the back of my head fills in a bit more pretty soon....

the crown has shown very good result, but you might need to get a small hair transplant to fix the front.

Best of luck man!

Re: James' Story - (25)- 4 Months in (New Pics Month 4 added!)

JAMES, I HAD THE SAME PROB WITH ITCHING RED, SCALING FILL LIKE YOU COULD SCRATCH WITH BOBWIRE AND NOT ENOUGH. I FOUND MY PROBLEM WAS THE PROPELINE GLYCOL IN THE ROGAINE . I HAD ROGAIN MIXED BY A LOCAL CLINICAL SPECIALISTS WITH OUT THE GLYCOL WHICH DRIES YOUR SCALP... YOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE IT ONLINE THIS WAY... ANYHOW WHEN I TRIED THIS I DID NOT GET THE AWFUL ITCHING ANYMORE. ALSO THE NIZORAL SHAMPOO ALWAYS MADE MY HEAD ITCH WORSE... TRY REGULAR DANDRUFF SHAMPOO PUT ON LET SIT FOR A COUPLE AND REPEAT AND RINSE WELL... ALSO I USE TRICOMIN WHICH HAS ANTI INFLAMMATORY PROPERTIES WHICH HELP TO REGULATE SCALP AND IS SUPPOSE TO LENGTHEN GROW PHASE AND STIMULATE GROWTH I BELIEVE IT COULD HELP. ANYWAY I HAD GOOD SUCESS WITH ROGAINE FORMULA PREPARED AT 7 PERCENT MAYBE STARTAT 5 PERCENT AND GO TO SEVEN IF NEEDED.ALSO THEY JUST USED A GLYCERIN OR ANY BASE TO REPLACE THE GLYCOL. I ALSO USE A HAIRMAX LASER COMB BUT HAVE NOT USED LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE AN OPINION. GOOD LUCK HOPE IT HELPS I ALSO TAKE PROPECIA AND IT WORKS WELL ON SOMEONE AS YOUNG AS YOU GOOD LUCK AGAIN.

Re: James' Story - (25)- 4 Months in (New Pics Month 4 added!)

Think I've shed a little in the past couple of weeks but weirdly enough still seems to thicken in parts, if that makes sense?

My temples and crown seems to have shed a bit and indeed my right temple looks a bit flimsy now to be honest, plus a little part of my fringe on that side is basically very little now.

Just seems weird, I take it it can attack in that way?

Also debating to use some sort of thickening spray as I'm covered for Shampoo and the like but can anyone recommend a good thickening spray that I can apply after showering to thicken my hair up a bit before going out? I've used American crew stuff in the past but unsure whether thats the best on the market.

I'm still trying to go back to 'au natural' rather than applying nanofibres for thickness you see...tell you what, it can be a killer the dependancy on those fibres when you get used to it though. I need to get out of that routine though and the worry and stuff that applying them creates.

Re: James' Story - ( 25 /NEW 5 months Pics - A Backwards step?

Hi guys, I thought I'd upload the latest pics at their most 'raw' that i took yesterday as I'm now heading into my fifth month. As I've mentioned elsewhere, shedding is happening again and my parts of my fringe are disappearing and certain small patches of my front are nigh on gone now :(

It definitely looks like a case of one step forward last month and two steps back and my hair is resembling that of month 2 now in terms of shedding progress :(

Shame really as I was really hoping this was the month that I could get rid of the nanofibres but maybe I'll have to stick with it a bit longer.

Anyway guys, your opinions and help would be most grateful regarding this :)

Re: James' Story - ( 25 /NEW 5 months Pics - A Backwards step?

Hi James, IMO it still looks like the hair that is there is definitely thickened up from your baseline and that this possibly, could be shed that brings great results all over, your crown area still looks better also. It looks like you have quite fine hair naturally is that right? In which case its harder to see where the new hair may possibly grow in. Stay positive Fluff, you sound like a nice guy anyway(no, not in :gay: way :)) and whatever happens, be confident as you have far more going for you than alot of idiots in life. Stick with it and I am sure you re going to get near the results you desire mate :)

Re: James' Story - ( 25 /NEW 5 months Pics - A Backwards step?

Cheers mate, it has definitely receeded that bit more and shed and maybe the photographs don't reflect that as strongly as I would like. However, as you say, got to think positively and hope that its a good shed that'll bring better results asap. I'm going to buzz it down to a 2 at the weekend, the shortest it's probably ever been and see how that works. Hopefully, I'll suit it and can ride it out for a bit longer.

Re: James' Story -25/At the 6 month stage on the BIG 3. July09

Bit of a weird stage to be in now. My hair is shaved down to a #1 on the sides and back and #2/5 on the top. It seems a lot more sparse than on photos a couple of months ago and my scalp can be seen more. However, there seems to be a lot more hair now in the worst-hit areas, it's just particularly fine.

I'm just wondering whether the main issue with it now is the fact it is cut down so short. I'm wondering whether if it was left to grow a little bit to where it was on the photos a couple of months ago (which I think was a #4 on the top and #2 or #3 on the sides), it might actually show an improvement.

However, as I'm in Month 6, I am debating whether I'm actually fooling myself and I'm in another shedding stage!
