I've always wondered that once you have placed the lace front down and got 'buried' in a little bit of glue and it's cured for a little while. Can you not apply a VERY VERY thin layer of glue on the 3-4mm part of the VERY front of the lace that is often the first to lift. I know you should never apply glue to lace directly but this is like a kind of seal for the VERY front of the hairline. As long as you keep it very thin and don't go too far up the lace, it should be easy enough to clean with cotton wool eventually I would have thought and really minimise any lift.

I think it'd be better to apply glue that extends beyond your hairline; let it fully cure; then attach, removing the extra stickiness w alcohol/c22/whatever.

I think the premature lifting has a lot to do w/ ppl not going to the very edge. It's unecessary with tape, but w/ White Glue at least, it leads to premature lifting/peeling - like, within hours...

This is true and def something I was doing wrong in the first few months.

What you said makes sense and is exactly what I do and I guess I'm thinking of just applying one final thin layer once cured on the complete edge of the lace. It doesn't seem like anyone actually thinks this is worthwhile but I may give it a shot and see how it goes!

I see a lot of videos have them mark a line with eyeliner below the hairline to have the right amount of surface area to have glue put on. In your philosphy that's just not needed, go a tad overboard and clean up the extra... kind of makes sense honestly

Go ever so slightly over onto the line and it's buried. I tried this method and it didn't work well for me. Comb indentations is best if you want to mark it. Otherwise it's much quicker to overestimate it a bit and then wipe off the residue like the other guy said. Like anything you become good with estimating the line with time. That's what I do.
