Question Applying Topicals, Rub In Or Not?

Which approach do you guys think is more prone to being successful when applying topicals?

1) Leaning your head back and dropping in the topical without rubbing it in and just moving your head around?
OR
2) Rubbing the topical into your head with your hand?

I always thought option 2 would be way better but I’ve been doing #1 for like the past 10 years. 2 weeks ago I started rubbing it in thinking it would help, and most of the liquid goes into my hair. Like my hair is soaked. Seems like I’m wasting most of it.

anyone have any thoughts / feedback on these approaches?

Do you use liquid or foam?

Liquid I use #1, Foam #2. I actually take the minoxidil foam bottle, run it over some hot water for a few seconds to make it less condensed, and then it comes out much finer and I feel absorbs better.

You are better off rubbing or massaging the topical into your scalp. Try to get it on your scalp instead of your hair. Are you the infamous muckbanger Nikocado Avocado( your avatar is an Avocado)?.

I'm using liquid right now. Sooo much seems to go to waste. I guess i'll see over time.

I gently rub it in with my dropper which I gently squeeze so the liquid comes out over different areas.
