HI
@Smartone84 and thanks for the post.
1. I'll PM you the salon/supplier I use. It's in the UK so I'm not sure if that's useful to you? But to get the light hair in the front, any decent supplier can do that for you so long as you specify what you want clearly and correctly.
2. Remy hair is standard. All details about my spec are are in the posts above. The template was custom so that I could deliberately choose a slightly receding hairline. Density is medium light, what I call 70% but other suppliers will have their own % scale.
3. The UTS detached a little or the glue wore down, so the base became more obvious to the eye. This is a problem with UTS. It has to be perfectly bonded so that it is invisible. A good hairline will always need a lot of maintenance. UTS shine is hard to hide when the system ages beyond 2 months - or at least that is what I find. The base must be degrading or changing in properties because it doesn't stay so soft after that time. It's still good, but not perfect.
4. The dye was a black/brown one. I can't remember exactly which one because the salon/stylist did the colouring. It's good to have a colour that has 'shades' to it so that your hair doesn't look like one big block of hair. Also, the dye must match the rest of the hair as far as possible, i.e. the back portion and of course your bio hair.
Good luck!
