No im sorry people do NOT eat raw eggs just because of rocky...I mean come on you can't be serious. People eat raw eggs because they're VERY cheap, good in nutrients and easy to add to protein shakes(which most body builders drink 2-3 a day). I eat cooked eggs too, but to get to the daily calorie intake I'm reaching, raw eggs in my protein shake help. I'm not worried about salmonela. At all.

Its how the trend started.

There was another thread on the subject of raw eggs. I just don't understand why you would risk your health for an alleged small gain.

There is no way I'm eating supermarket eggs without cooking them. My uncle used to run a chicken farm, I used to help him out and I've seen how those eggs are produced.

Would having more than one protein shake a day be too much and may effect your hair?

I've bought the generic whey protein shake mix (which says it's made with natural sources) that's 110 calories and 27g of protein per serving (one scoop).

I was thinking of having one protein shake with two scoops (220 calories and 54g of protein) in the morning before lunch, and another protein shake with two scoops after my workout before supper.

I too have a skinny build. So for me to gain actual muscle mass I need to eat a lot of protein and carbs, which is why I'm thinking about having two whey protein shakes a day.

I would use more powerful protein shake mixes like creatine, but unfortunately my left kidney is damaged and my specialist doesn't recommend me using creatine. :(

I wouldn't recommend that. The western diet is already rich in protein, your body will not use that much protein. Just because you take lots of protein, it doesn't mean your body will use all of it.

Putting on weight is very simple, you have to eat more calories than you burn.

It is not that simple, if you mean muscle weight. Eating a diet high in carbs and fat while neglecting protein will lead to weight gain but probably not muscle gain. You need proteins to build muscle and regardless if you are eating 5000 calories over your daily limit you will not gain muscle if you are not eating enough protein. Sadly I have seen this occur way too many times, hitting the weights whilst relying on a diet of fries and candy to get in shape.

Referring to the amount of scoops most people have a single scoop shake in the morning and one after a workout, both times when a fast digesting protein would be preferred.

People eat raw eggs or eggs in general because they are rich in protein and clean fats....fats that are easily burned off. When added to a shake like mine you can't even taste them.

Do not eat more than 1 egg yolk a day

Russian Bear is a retarded weight gainer, the serving size if stupid big. Just look for the weight gainer products of CytoSport and Optimum Nutrition.

And you are safe with creatine, in no way does it affect your hormones... just stay away from any kind of pro hormone/ test booster/ sketchy product you've never heard of. Tribulus root is also a pro hormone so i'd stay away from that

Nitric Oxide, BCAA, and beta-alinine products are fine as well

Optimus Prime: you may want to ask your Doctor to run a thyroid test. It just seems to add up, at least a LITTLE BIT, that you are on a hair loss forum and have and "unbelieeeeeeeeeeeeeevable metabolism." I'm just saying that your thyroid COULD be the problem in terms of your weight issues as well as thos related to hair loss. He or she will be able to tell if you have hypothyroidism or hyerthyroidism. could be either. But based on your weight issue, it is mosy likely HYPERthyroidism, THOUGH...HYPERthyroidism (which USUALLY causes weight GAIN) can ALSO cause both hair loss and weight loss...JUST CHECK IT OUT

The Amino acids makes the difference in your protein intake.. They are the building blocks.. The western Diet gave you the right quantity of protein but pretty useless because all the essentiels amino are gone.. Look up for the label next time you are shopping for the Whey!

people eat raw eggs because of the health myth the Rocky movie created. Go to any bodybuilding forum and people chow down on cooked eggs. Eggs got a bad cholesterol image but you can get good ones like "Heart Land" eggs..I eat a pack every week.

And like patagonia said..."salmonela"

I'm pretty sure Rocky didn't start the trend. My grandmother-born in the early 1900s would eat raw eggs everyday. Maybe she read the script nearly a half century before the movie was made? lol.
