Propecia (finasteride) and alcohol

Hi,

Bit of a random question this, and a complete longshot.

I don't drink that often, but when I do I'm normally fine, and never seem to have hangovers or feel bad the next day.

I've been on finasteride now for around 2 months, and drank for the first time on it last night... I didn't have that much but it completely destroyed me. I was so ill it was unbelievable, and really didn't know what I was doing, and all day today I've been sick too, after drinking even less than I would usually.

I'm guessing it's just something's gone wrong, maybe I have a bug or something, but I just wanted to make 100% sure it couldn't be effected by the finasteride/propecia.

Well you can never be a 100 percent sure, but let´s say 99,99?

Never heard that the combination can be dangerous and im into this stuff now for 2,5 years.

I drink 2-4 times a week and I've never had a problem. There have been times I feel weird, and I recognize that it might be attributed to the finasteride and/or min which sometimes makes me feel light headed. Some people here smash their finasteride up with a hammer and dissolve it into alcohol so they can accurately measure the dosage they want and take a shot of liquid finasteride once a day. I don't think finasteride is dangerous to take with alcohol, Doctors would say something and Merck would warn users to stay away from drinking. But, I have experienced some unique sides from finasteride, so you might be right.

I think you're tolerance is low. Did you drink the tequila worm? I say drink up and enjoy unk:

I noticed when I got drunk while using Propecia, it made my hangovers worse.

Thanks for the replies guys, should be unrelated then I guess.

It didn't feel like a hangover as such Obsidian; I had plenty of energy, didn't feel tired at all, or have a headache, just felt so sick

I doubt it's related to the finasteride. The fact that you hadn't had a drink in two months may have had something to do with the effects, as could a lot of other things; how much rest you had, what you ate beforehand, the time period in which you had the drinks, or if you have a bug etc.

I haven't noticed any difference when it comes to alcohol tolerance since starting finasteride. Or for marijuana either. :innocent:

You're not drinking for two months is what probably destroyed you ....lush
