I will be having a strip surgery of approx 1500 grafts which will be mostly placed on my hairline area and above. I currently have a pretty good head of hair except for the fact that my hairline has thinned and receded and my crown is thinning as well. The hair on the back of my head is approx 1/2 inch long and near the hairline area it's approx 2". My question is....does hair length affect the procedure at all? Would it be easier for the Dr. in the recipient area if I had shorter hair? What are the benefits of hair length in the donor area or recipient area?
Thanks guys!
