Hello good folks,

I am a 27 year old guy from India suffering from hair loss since last four years.
I have been on and off Minoxidil during this four years time but it couldn't help me limiting my hair fall. I haven't been on Finasteride because of the possible sides.

I am sharing the pics of my present condition. Kindly look and and let me know what Norwood scale I belong to and what are the possible options for me. Am I good candidate for hair transplant?

Thanks a bunch in advance!!

You don't really fall in anywhere on the norwood scale due to your diffuse thinning, but it is a bad situation you have unfortunately. A hair transplant is a really bad idea without finasteride as you will continue to lose hair and before long you will end up balder than you are now. finasteride is a must when considering a hair transplant.

Thanks!
I have heard that diffuse thinners never go complete bald i.e. they still hold onto some hairs even in the hairline? Is it true?
Also by looking at my pics can someone confirm that it is indeed a Male Pattern Diffused thinning or Un-patterned?

You are already pretty much bald. If you care about your hair then it is definately worth trying finasteride for atleast a year. If you get sides you can stop anyways. Also, even with finasteride there is a good chance that you will still continue to bald because a lot of diffuse thinners are non responders or low responders to finasteride. In terms of hair transplants, you are not a good canditate because you are diffuse and you are not willing to get on finasteride/dutasteride. I guess a good option for you to consider is getting an SMP to make it look darker. This could potentially be a good look with the hair you have bow. Or you can just let it go as if this really did bother you you would have started treating it 4 years ago.
