Please Help, Am I Going Bald At This Age?

I’m 20 years old, my father has mature pattern baldness and my uncles too.
I’ve always had really thick hair and they grow fast. I have sometimes some stressful events but i always did.
I don’t like using finasteride, should i wait a little more or should i jump in minoxidil ?
And does minoxidil cause hair loss at first ?

Your crown is fine, no need to worry there everyone has a whirl on their crown where it looks like a tiny bald spot. Your temples have receded a tiny amount but from what I understand that is just your hairline maturing, very few people keep a perfectly straight hairline and most recede a little at the temples. Doesn’t look like male pattern baldness right now, I have a similar hairline with a bit more recession and people here have told me it doesn’t look like male pattern baldness and just a mature hairline.

Keep an eye on it given your family history, good for now no need to take any meds IMO.

I’m no expert, but I’m pretty confident most people here would agree with me. Enjoy your twenties and don’t spend your time on this website. Compare with some pictures every 3 or 4 months to be safe, don’t think about it on a daily basis, I’ve made that mistake.

It's Receeded a bit but it's too early to know if it's a maturing hairline or male pattern baldness id say at the moment you're at a Norwood level 1.5, just keep monitoring it every few months, on that note if your dad and uncles are Bald I'm afraid to tell you that you could be genetically hit with male pattern baldness.

Yes it's always an option but you need to wait until your hair loss has completely stabilised, over 30 years old at the very least.

You are a bit far gone for finasteride. However you could start dutasteride. Its 2x stronger than finasteride and has a greater chance of significant regrowth.
