These pictures were all taken today.
I barely have any hairline recession, but my hair in general all over is thinning pretty rapidly.
I thought maybe it could be Telogen Effluvium, or dandruff (which I do have), but the shedding never stopped.
Alot of hairs that I shed have this white thing on top for some reason. Anyways im losing ground VERy quickly, and
thanks to alot of guys on this forum, i've decided that im going to get on finasteride. Hopefully things will start getting better.
I will update with pics every now and then to compare.
Also, I feel that my hair is generally alot weaker and easier to pull / I shed more when theyre short.
Is this just in my head, or could it be possible?

People who diffusely lose their hair should visit a dermatologist to determine if there are any underlying factors that might be causing their hair loss.

Have seen one man. I got a thyroids blood test aswell.
Derm says that the thinning is happening in the normal male pattern baldness pattern.
He didnt see any patches or anything, and told me that propecia / finasteride would be my best option..

Well at least you can be happen with the fact that diffuses usually do a lot better on finasteride than typical Androgenetic Alopecia sufferers.

If it's any consolation you'd look good bald and by the looks of it, it won't happen for a long time.

hey man, honestly can't see the balding for sure - but it's tough with short hair.

if you think you really have male pattern baldness then i encourage you to get on finasteride. it will work wonders for you as you still have lots of hair and are losing in a diffuse pattern.

i've been on for about 3 years now and it completely stopped my hair loss with no sides, couldn't be happier.

good luck!

From the pics it looks like you're thinning all over. Get a new doctor.

yeah it's called "diffuse loss". and i don't think it looks that bad right now. i doubt anyone could even tell in person.

I can't tell, it could be the flash from the camera, making it appear thinner on the places where the flash is brightest.

I do know you have a very solid perfect hairline thou, maybe even too perfect lol.

You'd be a fool to get on finasteride if you haven't been thoroughly checked out for other options. If it's not male pattern baldness, the finasteride will either not work, or will mask a non-existen problem - you'd be taking it for nothing.

the light can be misleading sometimes. your in negative Norwood territory relating to your hairline, so your hair loss is a bit nontraditional. Get extensive consolations before committing yourself to male pattern baldness related remedies.

There's another picture with longer hair(2 month old pic), and notice the thinning. I deff do have it man
I went from having a full thick head of hair, to my hair looking like this in about 7 months. I'm shedding like crazy, and i'm pretty sure if it was anything other than male pattern baldness it would have stopped by now.
I'm thinking 0.5 mg initially and i'll see how things go from there. Sounds like a good idea? / Thank you for your reply

I have seen several derm's , and GPs. Ive done blood tests to check my thyroids, etc. I've waited for 6 months to make sure its not something else, and this shedding just wont stop.
I dont see what else it can be man..

No problem. I wasn't entirely familiar with your story.

I suppose finasteride may tell you something one way or the other. If it doesn't halt the hair loss, you'll know you need to keep looking elsewhere, but it looks like you've been pretty thorough already.

Your hair looks pretty damn good to me. You'd know better than I would about your situation, but if you can maintain that for a while, I think you should be well pleased.
