I'm getting close to thinking about shaving.. maybe not right down to skin but a very low buzz.. ive never done it before, so today I did a quick photoshop of two photos i could find to make me a slaphead to suss it out. It looks quite..err..different. I cant tell objectively what its like. Do you think i can pull it off at all or should I avoid at all costs.

doesn't look too bad. plus you're not a bad looking dude and you appear to be in shape. I thought i'd look f#cked up but then i buzzed my hair to about a #4 and i didn't look too horrible. Obviously, we'd all look better with a Brad Pitt hairline and luscious Thor-like curtains of hair but such is life. Go for it, dude.

It actually looks pretty decent with your facial structure, but a low buzz would probably look slightly better. With that said I don't know what your hair situation is like right now so I can't judge which looks better.

this is it now.. actually more diffused thin than it looks in this pic.. obviously right now I'm definitely holding onto it.

But I'm tapering off the drugs (which have regained a lot this year), so I'm just mentally preparing for the shave once I get too diffuse/sick of caring any more. Seems like a good excuse to keep fit and focus on improving more important qualities of my person.

Hmm. I'd say buzz it to about a #3 or 4, see how it looks. If you feel like you should go down to a #1 then do it. But either way, if you don't like it just let your hair grow out again and mull it over awhile longer.

Well since you're tapering off of everything you might as well see how your head looks buzzed; like I said you have the facial structure for it whereas some people don't. Back in high school my friend was starting to bald, but he didn't want to shave his head by himself so I did it with him and he discovered his new style of haircut for years to come.

Myopia can potentially be trendy with the right frames

Balding on other hand doesn't.

I wouldn't compare wearing glasses to baldness but if it's such an issue you can stick on some contacts or have laser correction surgery - easy enough.

I think OP looks fine with the glasses and looks "ok" for someone with zero hair.

Glasses make all people uglier and it's not even up for debate.

The way I see it: If you can handle wearing glasses, then you can handle going bald just fine.

Some of the things you say man...

OP I think the shaved head looks better than the hair. I imagine it will look even better as stubble.

laser eye surgery is cheap these days also, might be something to look into.

I tend to find chicks cute who wear framed glasses. Kinda edgey.

But yeah, men tend to look weak with glasses.

There's a lot of p**rn with girls wearing glasses and giving a bj for example. I don't find it a big deal on a guy or a girl - can look nice. If you're not good looking well that's a different issue.

Fred wearing it as a child is different, bit more stigma in school.

You look good actually. Glasses look trendy too. I suggest you trim it to grade one at first then post a picture so we can have a look. Remember to get a tan and you'll be good to go.

I don't want to sound like a sluthater but being nearsighted is a sign of bad genetics, just like baldness.
These days I choose to focus on things that enhance my good genetics.. like being fit, intelligent, skilled, personable, funny, positive...y'know.. like actually important **** that I can look back on when I'm 75 and think yep, I nailed that.

I know most people won't agree with me on the topic of glasses. Most of the time, people will shrug it off as an unimportant detail. Glasses, what's the big deal right?

I didn't see that way when I had to wear glasses from age 14. That's why I had PRK at 21 when it was stabilized.

I remembered the child with glasses that used to get picked on, the losers in movies and TV shows (Parker Lewis comes to mind) always had glasses.

Also, You'll not find one lead actor in movies who has glasses (except Harry Potter of course but it's the odd exception). It's not that different from baldness in the end.

Myopia is just so much easier to fix, whether you chose to get contacts or surgery.

Lmfao. Are you serious?

Buzz the head bro, you will feel much cleaner and styled compared to thin receding hair. Dive straight into a #1 guard. You'l be stoked

That's what people will tell you to make you feel better about wearing glasses.

And they will do the same about baldness. One of the first thing my cousin said to me when I started losing my hair was: "Oh you know, being shaved bald, it's a style too!"

Don't listen to what people say, watch how they treat you.

People with glasses will appear geekier and less attractive, that's just how it is.

I don't want to sound like a sluthater but being nearsighted is a sign of bad genetics, just like baldness.
Actually.. the glasses are a good fit and actually look good. Some people look bad with glasses and some don't that's a fact, but there are some people who look better with glasses than without and that's also a fact. I don't know if you're into modern trends or see any of them, but glasses are definitely in; some people wear fake glasses just for style reasons rather than poor vision. You basically sound like that one guy with the the frog avatar who thinks people with hair loss are inferior and can't get women. It's like saying every man looks better with hair when that isn't true either; some people have really bad looking hair and look better with a shaved head or a very short haircut just like some people look better with glasses than without.
