my hair was recovering so well!!!! Then I told my doctor my thyroid was acting up and he ignored me. My hair has thinned all over again just like it did before I took my thyroid medication :( I finally got him to increase my dose. Pray for me that it comes back guys :(

I'm just curious because hypothyroid runs in my family but my numbers are 'normal'

what is the difference in the hair you lose from thyroid vs Androgenic?

does it have white bulbs also? is it a heavy shedding? All over?

In thyroid hair loss it is very diffuse. I was losing hair on the sides of my head, which are supposed to be immune to DHT.

All kinds. Don't know about the bulbs. If your hair loss was thyroid related it would be massive diffuse thinning in the presence of feeling fatigued all day and gaining weight and many other hypothyroid symptoms. OR hyperthyroid symptoms

My mother had Hiroshmoto's disease. Her hair became diffuse all over.

It wasn't until she took thyroid medication that it stopped. And she actually was able
to grow all of it back.

Pictures are definitely showing solid progress!

Are you going to add Finasteride (micro dosing), to save the hairline?

No because minoxidil has been amazing to me through my first 16 months. I will consider if I begin losing ground.

Btw what Norwood am I now?

Think you're a Norwood two. Your vertex looks very solid, congratulations!

Your hairline looks like it's starting to lose ground? That's my opinion.

Your hair is obviously thick enough to cover it though. Your hair is much better than mine.

My hairline has actually recovered a lot. Remember I was a NW3

Your hair still looks thick. It's not really noticeable.

Just saying, the hairline looks a little more receded. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Pavi, do you have Hashimoto's thyroiditis too? Or just low thyroid?

@Pavi

Let me just say this. I wish my hair looked half as good as yours. It never did.

Even when I was a Norwood zero. Your hair is in much better shape than mine.
