I used to have your attitude when I was younger NW1-2, getting obsessed with my hairline and blaming all my life problems on it etc, which led me to lose out on a lot of pussy, but the sooner you just embrace your real look, the sooner you can actually enjoy life, truly be confident and achieve your potential.

I think a lot of people are making the mistake that in 5 years there will not be a better way to keep your hair. I think there almost certainly will be if CB which is in trials or PGD2 leads to something male pattern baldness could certainly become a preventable condition even the temples/front that propecia cant deal with well but that might be upregulation/higher receptor count issues or something else.

Because baldness is a progressively deteriorating condition? When I was Norwood 2, I knew I end up Norwood 3, and lo, I am about Norwood 2.5 with diffuse thinning. Others are in similar situations, and this is why Norwood 2 bothers them. It's a prelude of whats to come.

Pauly D does look a lot like his mother. His mother seems to have thick, dark, curly hair. I suspect her father didn't have a hairloss problem (I can usually spot this in women aswell, I know, weird). Probably inherited from that side.

It's understandable to be afraid of it turning worse, but I have read posts of users being scared of going out because they are a NW2.

If a man wants to be a Norwood 2 or higher then so be it but it should be optional not forced on you. The whole point of why hair loss is bad is I guess because it makes you look older so by that measure anything past Norwood 0 is bad. Not to mention a Norwood 0 looks like a guy who will never have hair problems while a Norwood 2 looks a guy with a ticket to advanced Norwood even if he never goes to them. In my opinion.

Norwood are ok looking until the horseshoe settles in or crown thinning, NW2 does look stylish, it's the best look imo. Unfortunately I'm not that lucky since I'm thinning in a Type V pattern with no temple/hairline recession.

True buddy. I'm somewhere in between a norwood 1.5-2. The thing is my dermatologist told me it's just a maturation process, but I've already started Rogaine 3 weeks ago. You never know whether it stops at NW2 or continues, that's why I'm being proactive. But yes about the NW2 looking better then NW1. My hairline right now does give off a more mature/masculine look. I think it's cause it exposes your for head a little bit more.
