Oral Minoxidil Side Effects On The Body

Hi all, I recently saw a leading hair specialist and after a hour or so of going through what’s the best treatment for my hair and came to the conclusion 1mg of MInoxidil will be the option if my hair continues to thin (we are simply monitoring it at the moment and about to start PRP)

My question is is oral minoxidil at 1mg per day likely going to cause any side effects?

My main concerns is any damage to my organs including my heart. Second concern is anything that will affect weight or physical appearance.

I have slightly high blood pressure.

My doctor says the dose is very low so it would be minimal, thoughts?

I've used dosages as high as 10mg of oral minoxidil and the only visible physical effects I noticed was the dark circles under my eyes and a noticeable increase in body hair. I also had my blood pressure checked and it was within normal range. I think 1mg is a very low dose so adverse effects would be very unlikely.
