This is where I was a little over a month ago: http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/showthread.php/87069-Okay-How-Screwed-Am-I

I've experienced massive success with my simple regimen. I apply foam in the morning, with 1.25mg finasteride, and then liquid rogaine before bed. I have been on it for two months now but the progress below is all in the last month.

Any sides such as weight gain, etc?

No sides whatsoever that I've noticed.

I'm definitely not trolling, I'm as surprised as you all are. I think I'm just either incredibly lucky or I wasn't actually experiencing male pattern baldness but rather some sort of stress-induced hair loss?

I don't have an explanation but I'm certainly glad to see my hairline rejuvenated.

No concealers, I wouldn't even know where to start if I wanted some sort of concealer.

Good regrowth, but I think you have got your dates wrong as them new hairs are already, what, 3 inches long? Thats pretty quick hair growth for even healthy hair.

Of course he's trolling, that kind of regrowth in 30 days is impossible. Hair grows approximately 1cm/month... what he's showing is several inches in a single month.

Somebody please remove his account.

He's not trolling.

He's playing a visual trick. Maybe just on you guys. Maybe also on himself.

He has his head tilted forward in the after picture. This gives the illusion of more hair. Because the top/back of his hair is thick. And now visible.

He's also lifting his eyebrows significantly, which gives the illusion of less forehead, and more hair coverage.

When you cut out all the extras, this is what you're left with:

There really is no difference.

As a side note, a lot of these visual tricks are used in "before and after photos" for hair loss treatments. If its even the same guys head, he will be turned, tilted, lifting his eyebrows, or doing something to trick people into thinking he has more hair. Keep an eye out for them so you're not deceived.

Wow. I'm at a complete loss for words. Why the **** would I go out of my way like this to make a post on a forum in which I know no one and am hardly active at all. The only reason I posted initially was to seek advice, and now I'm attempting to make a contribution.

If you want to ban my account please feel free, I have lost all interest in being a part of such a jaded and cantankerous community. When I get home I will post close up pictures from all angles showing the new hairs that have grown on the sides and front of my hairline which is why it looks better now. If my pictures look like a visual trick of some sort I assure you it's inadvertent. I am not a photographer I wouldn't even know where to begin if my aim was to play some sort of trick on the members of this forum. My eyebrows are raised in the second picture because I was trying to look up into the camera to see if my hairline was in focus.

Rest assured my intentions are not malicious, I'm not some sort of karma-wh*** on a mildly active ****ing hairloss forum.

Not to mention that my eyebrows are, in fact, raised in both pictures.

The new hairs are very short, maybe 1 or 2cm but I just combed everything back when my hair was wet so you can't really differentiate the different hair lengths. I suppose that's part of why people are so skeptical. I was trying to take a picture from the same angle in the same light as the original one to illustrate the difference.

I'm not claiming to have grown 3 inches of hair in 1 month. But it does look a LOT fuller with the short hairs on the sides and front.

I decided to just take some pictures in the bathroom at work because I'm pretty annoyed, honestly.

Hopefully this clears things up. These show the short hairs growing from the front, and sides of my hairline. Obviously my hair looks much thicker in these because there isn't great lighting in the bathroom here, and my hair is dry.

Picture of the left temple. (yes my eyebrows are raised - again, I'm looking at the camera)

Front of the hairline.

Again showing the short hairs on my temple as compared to the rest of my hair's length. (not sure why the forum is flipping the image it's not that way on my end.)

Lol I think you're looking at the wrong two pics or .... ??? I clearly see shorter, thinner hair growing under the long hairs near his thinning temples its night and day.

to the OP, thanks for the update hope your success continues, ignore the naysayers

I didnt say your intentions were malicious.

I will repeat the portion of the sentence you skipped:

He's playing a visual trick. Maybe just on you guys. Maybe also on himself.

This portion of the sentence means that you may have not realized it even yourself.

People were accusing you of trolling. I was showing why you might not be.

I did find it strange that you yourself didn't realize you were tilting your head forward and lifting your eyebrows in the "after" photo....

But I remember doing things unconsciously back in the day, to make my hair look better for my "results" photos too.

Maybe we want people to have hope. Maybe we want attention. Could be many reasons for it. But its a pretty common thing to make your after photos look good. I've done it myself.

----------

As for your results?

This isn't an issue of "naysayers" versus "believers".

Its physically impossible to grow hair more than 1/2 inch in a 1 month period. Tilting your head forward is creating an illusion of that.

Those hairs were already there.

At the 1 month mark, the most you could possibly have is a bunch of 1/8th inch long hairs.

And no hair loss treatment I am aware of, starts new hair growth on day 1.

If there is some element of your claims that doesn't violate laws of physics, then by all means - I support that reality.

I just know, having been involved in this process for 14 years, that the minds eye (and especially a carefully placed camera) can turn a horrible picture into a wonderful one.

In the end, how you feel about it is all that matters.

Your thumbnail is of the 1 month mark. What do you think about the 2 month mark?

I think it's more likely what the person below you said it's all about the angle and the brow raising, but I also think his hair has dried a little bit more in the second causing his hairline to "poof" a little bit concealing more of his hairline which in turn looks like he's got regrowth when in reality the thinning effect of wet hair has lessened.

On a side note his hair might grow at a faster rate than the norm; for example mine grows almost an entire inch a month.
