OMG! I found it! Man I knew I wasnt nuts. Today as I was applying oils to my hair line and I FOUND THIS BALD SPOT ON THE SIDE OF MY HEAD! It was hidden so well because of my long hair. Does this look like diffuse thinning to you guys? Please help me! Also, If its ALOPECIA AREATA, is there any pill I can take to regrow the bald patch? Thanks.

BTW! Could this be due to not showering my hair for like a week at a time? I havent been showering my hair on a daily basis because Ive been scared to see hair falling out into my hand from shampooing. Plz help!:sobbing:

Fvck man, I think my hair thinning was because Ive been taking these in individual tablets and pills everyday for the past year -

Vitamin C
Vitamin D
Zinc
Selenium
Acai
Black Currant Oil
Vitamin E
Biotin
TocoTreinols
Evening Prime Rose
Vitamin K2
Vitamin A
Folic Acid
Green Tea Extract
Iron

I think having too much of one of those listed above is causing my hair loss. Any Vitamin experts here that can please help? =(

Alopecia aerata, seek a dermatologist.
Too much of any vitamin is bad for you, check the right dosage you have to take before swallowing anything !

And yes it'll regrow, relax a little, I'm sure your obsession about hairloss and the fact you're taking so many supplements (for something that wasn't even here at the beginning) cause more harm than good ^^"

I think I KNOW THE CULPRIT! After doing research, I think its selenium! They say we already get selenium from fish and eggs and I eat like 4 eggs every other day and to top it off I used to take Selenium everday! Im not longer taking Zinc and Selenium. As far as Vitamin A and Vitamin E goes, Im only going to take that every 2 or 3 days. I cant believe I wasted so much money on using hair products and vitamins when the Selenium was infecting my regimen. I think I could have seen good results by now!

This guy is trolling, he keeps putting up crazy posts like this. This is the second one this week. More than likely he shaved the spot for attention.

Now how could I have done that? Impossible to make a clear circle like this with a clipper or a razor. The good news is I read my body will revert back to its normal state after I completely stop taking selenium. I hope I get my old hair line back and Selena Gomez's thickness. I think selenium is the culprit because the side effects includes facial flushing which is what I was getting everday. My face was red every other day and I didnt know why at the time. If I do get my hair thickness back and this bald spot heals I will still feel bad because some of yall on this board wont have it so easy. I hope I dont have male pattern baldness but when I thought I did it was a TERRIBLE FEELING, I can only imagine how some of you guys feel. Now Im almost certain I have Alopecia which was caused by my selenium intake. I still feel bad some of you guys who do have bad male pattern baldness at such a young age. If I was offered 5 million tomorrow to take for myself or have everyone on this forum cured of male pattern baldness, I would choose the cure. Ill still be around these forums even if I get my old hair back.

Excuse me!!! I did not even post in this thread until right now. I agree with you that he should see a dermatologist because he definitely has hair loss in those photos. In his other photos, you could not see any, Mr Red Bars.

You some how own the rights to House MD reference now that you use a picture of Hugh Laurie?

Go see your dermatologist as most have said.

Fvck man, I think my hair thinning was because Ive been taking these in individual tablets and pills everyday for the past year -

Vitamin C useless
Vitamin D useless, use in a formula with k2 maybe
Zinc what type ? probably useless by itself
Selenium useless
Acai useless
Black Currant Oil useless
Vitamin E useless, high quality tocotrienols are better
Biotin useless, why not just use a high quality b complex ??
TocoTreinols may help,
Evening Prime Rose useless
Vitamin K2 useless
Vitamin A useless
Folic Acid useless, why not just use a high quality b complex ??
Green Tea Extract this can help
Iron useless by itself, can enhance the big 3

I think having too much of one of those listed above is causing my hair loss. Any Vitamin experts here that can please help? =(

half the things you take could be cut out if you took some multi mineral/vitamin formulas

although I simply think taking the big 3 would work

Well, i don't want to alarm you, but have in mind that alopecia areata is worse thasn male pattern baldness i think for male pattern baldness there are finasteride, min, etc, for areata there's almost nothing...

Just my 2 cents: biotin is not useless, it can help in making the hair diameter bigger.

Biotin did nothing for me besides reduce my thinning but even then it was marginal at best. Supplements in general are very poor from my experience.

okay, I simply meant why take so many individual supplements ?

You could easily find a product that has many ingredients in it like zinc, selenium, folate, biotin, vitamin A, and save yourself room on the kitchen countertop ?

Secondly, if you want clear looking skin and youthful looking skin, look into powerful antioxidant supplements.

astaxanthin with phospholipids
resveratrol taken with curcumin
grape seed extract
ecklonia cava

are all good for youthful skin. may have a minor effect on hair too.

is it better to take biotin in a multi b vitamin complex , rather than by itself ?? you may as well, it saves on money and kitchen countertop space.
