Three month mark. Still SLOW going but signs of life.

I’ve taken all photos under harsh light but there is an impression of a very thin fuzzy hairline from front on at least now.

As for the scar - the redness is stubborn but fading and there seems to be a bit more overgrowth but really very little to report at this stage.

Back in a month...

Definitely an improvement. Next 3 months you should see considerable growth. Ive got my turkey trip coming up two weeks from now. Similar to you i'm probably a NW6

You kept alot more hair than I have from your transplant..I'm just pretty much recovering from the shock loss to my existing hair on top..I sure hope I see something at 3 months... I'm 2 months in.

I really do hope that you get a good outcome from this, however for me I don't think you were a suitable candidate for a hair transplant. Did anybody talk to you about the possible downsides before they operated? Normally they wont do a FUT unless your donor area is very thick which I don't think yours is, are you taking any meds like Finasteride?

You’re probably right mate. I’m going to give it the full 12 months before I make my decision as to whether this was a good or bad idea. taking Min/finasteride.

Yeah I think 12 months will be the optimum regrowth period. It may well thicken up a lot more between now and then. Has the scar healed well?

Scar still pink but getting thinner.

Looking straight on the front “profile” is ever so slightly improving

5.5 months - I’ve decided to keep it short as the longer hair at 5 months is a bit misleading

Don't want to be a debby downer, but I would not have done it if I was you. Baldness is too severe and your donor area is affected as well.

If I were you I would have put a lot more grafts up front and wore a partial hair piece at the back. Since its obviously too late for that I can suggest a remedy. Get SMP, grow the hair on top longer and keep the back and sides short. You'll still look like your thinning but with the illusion of a lot more hair. The SMP should also hide the strip scar alot more!

One more thing, don't underestimate the power of concealers! Using what I suggested above plus toppik can more or less give you the illusion of full hair! Don't expect to go swimming though.. Heavy rain would also be a problem.

Thanks Andy - my plan is to go the SMP route at 12 months after assessing the “final result”. I currently use Toppik when I go out/work days but reapply three to four times a week to let the hair breathe and use topical Minoxidil.

One positive is im using less Toppik now and getting much more natural results using the Toppik.

I hope SMP+FUE can be my saviour down the track
