this threads been quiet the last few days.Anyone trying anything dicussed in the thread?
I got me some thyme oil.a little 10ml bottle, chucked it all into a new 60ml kirkland minoxidol ,chucked it on my head :)
Within seconds i got a warm burning feeling. i put some castor oil on top of this ,not my initial plan but it took the nip away.
maybe have to dilute it more not sure, i had been out in the sun that day.
will keep you all posted if anything exciting happens anytime.

hello, i am new here and today i read every single page of this thread, every post, in every single page. one of the best discussions i have ever followed. so in summary, we should look at cox and add pge2? pge2 is very hard to find, but maybe if a lot of people will write to a peptide company to make them sell this, it could be done?

For PGE2 use minoxidil. The question is more about finding the most effective topical anti PGD2 solution.

Few people already started using Ramatroban topical, at this moment it seems to be best solution for PGD2 until OC000459 is not available in fair price. Report of one is that mild acne disappeared from he's face even through he was using it only on hair templates, it mean it have strong reduction of inflammation. At this moment we can only wait for their updates or start using Ramatroban aswell.

Indeed. It stopped My acne completeley, but on the other sides, My skin Looks really aged. when I stop Ramatroban for 3 days, My skin gets back to normal.

Conclusion so far

This thread is now 69 pages long - is there any native english speaking man able to filter the most important results you got so far?
I'm from Germany and it's impossible for me to understand the scientific abstracts you post.

My primar question is or my primary questions are:
- What products are you using now since the discovery and did it change your hairgrowth? Price? Sideeffects?

My secondary question is:
- I am allergic to fish and eggs so they are never on my menu - could you give a short statement about this, I mean, is this connect to you latest discoveries?

Thanks in advance

By the other way.. how about quercetin? Person which went this way had great results until he stopped use (staining), he used it with DMSO and distilled water so how about: emu oil + quercetin + tocotrienol + ethanol + distilled water?

If it's encapsulated liposomes/nanosomes/similar tech...it shouldn't stain. It'll most likely show on your scalp, but will wash off. I've used it and other crazy-color topicals with no problem.

[h=1]Expression of cyclooxygenase isozymes during morphogenesis and cycling of pelage hair follicles in mouse skin: precocious onset of the first catagen phase and alopecia upon cyclooxygenase-2 overexpression.[/h]Müller-Decker K, Leder C, Neumann M, Neufang G, Bayerl C, Schweizer J, Marks F, Fürstenberger G.
[h=3]Source[/h]Section of Eicosanoids and Epithelial Tumor Development, Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, Heidelberg, Germany. K.Mueller-Decker@dkfz.de

[h=3]Abstract[/h]Cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 and -2 catalyze the key reaction in prostaglandin biosynthesis. Whereas COX-1 is found in most tissues, COX-2, with a few exceptions, is not expressed in normal tissues but becomes transiently induced in the course of inflammatory reactions. In many neoplastic epithelia, COX-2 is constitutively overexpressed. Here we show that COX isozymes are spatiotemporally expressed during morphogenesis of dorsal skin epithelium of NMRI mice. COX-1 and COX-2 mRNA and protein were detected in embryonic and postnatal epidermal tissue by RT-PCR, northern blot, and immunoblot analysis indicating that both isoforms may contribute to prostaglandin production. Being barely detectable in interfollicular epidermis and resting hair follicles of adult mice, COX-2 protein appeared in embryonic skin first in epidermal precursor cells and later on in the basal cells and the peridermal layer of the stratified epidermis. In the course of pelage hair follicle morphogenesis, COX-2 remained expressed in the basal interfollicular compartment and, in addition, became apparent in elongated hair germs and hair pegs and later on in the outer root sheath cells of the distal and proximal hair follicles as well as in basal sebaceous gland cells. During the subsequent synchronous phases of hair cycling, COX-2 expression declined in catagen, was barely detectable in telogen, and was reinduced in the basal outer root sheath and basal sebaceous gland cells of anagen hair follicles. COX-1 immunosignals were detected predominantly in the interfollicular spinous and granular layers of the developing, neonatal, and adult epidermis but not in follicular epithelial cells of developing or cycling hair follicles. Dendritic cells in the interfollicular epidermis and distal hair follicles were also COX-1-positive. Transgenic overexpression of COX-2 under the control of a keratin 5 promoter in basal cells of the interfollicular and follicular epidermis induced a precocious entry into the first catagen stage of postnatal hair follicle cycling and a subsequent disturbance of hair follicle phasing. Furthermore, transgenic mice developed an alopecia. Inhibition of transgenic COX-2 activity by feeding the specific COX-2 inhibitor valdecoxib suppressed the development of alopecia, indicating that COX-2-mediated prostaglandin synthesis is involved in hair follicle biology.

Cinnamon also inhibits arachidonic acid...pgd2 is a metabolite of arachidonic acid:

Cinnamon has very positive effects on blood glucose levels (http://www.naturalnews.com/031179_cinnamon_blood_sugar.html)(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20515642), triglycerides (http://voices.yahoo.com/how-taking-cinnamon-supplements-lower-triglycerides-2425955.html?cat=5) (http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/08/110810101607.htm), and it lengthens the amount of time food stays in the stomach (called gastric emptying in science terms) which is beneficial for a ton of reasons (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17556692) (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19158209). Also has antioxidant benefits (http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/06/040617080908.htm). Many bbers such as myself teaspoon it into chocolate protein shakes...**** tastes awesome. Win Win all around.

very interesting i joined this forum because of this thread can someone explain why the hair at the back of the head near the neck which they call donor area in transplants why doesnt that fall of? does pg2 dont effect that area? and ive seen people that as used garlic on their scalps which really grew some hairs , can garlic have pgd2 or prostaglandin e? i dont believe blocking pgd will grow hair but im sure it will stop im very certain it will stop further balding another pg must be used for the growth i guess. So exited as everyone for further research of this.

Welcome! Yes I think male pattern baldness is a chronic inflammatory skin condition... Lowering both COX..because both are over-expressed during that same condition will stop and reverse male pattern baldness. Stem cell cannot migrate during inflammation which is a big part of the problem.
