Hi guys,
I DO NOT have any pictures to show, since my camera is dead, but it performed some experimentation and have determined that I am most likely in the beginning stages of hairloss.
It started when I was 21/22 when I noticed I had a ton of hairs on my pillows. My current gf noticed that I have some thinning in my crown area near a cowlick that is on one side of my forehead.
If I run my hand through my hair I usually get a couple hairs that fall out.
I started taking tabs of amounts of hair lost from my scalp in the shower (plugged the drain and counted). I take showers every morning so its a calculation of approx how many hairs I have lost in 24 hours.
I typically count around 40-60 hairs, most of which are thick hairs and some of which appear to be thin ones. Those are hairs that just fall out when I do a light shampoo. Doesnt count the ones that come off on towel after I Dry hair (which are alot too), or ones that come off during the day.
Of course, I Am in disbelief mainly because
#1. Not a single direct family member on either my moms side or dads side showed noticable hair loss until they were in their 60's. In fact our family is known for keeping all the hair on their heads - if you look at our family photos from both sides, everyone has their hair (my grandparents used to tell me how luck I would be to keep my hair until I was older, and how hairloss was non-existent in our family tree).
#2 I do not have a receding hair line at all (it is literally straight across).
So, I am just getting mainly hairloss on my crown and that is it.
So, I am thinking about starting on Norizonal, and maybe rogaine.
What do you guys think? Advice for beginning hair loss treatment?
Thanks
