Hey All,
I've been massively stressed lately; to the point where I actually got the disease Shingles, requiring me to take Valtrex for the past 10 days...now I'm experiencing a shed and am slightly freaked. The stress has calmed down and I'm doing my best to relax and get myself well; to that end do any of you know if hair loss related to stress/a disease like shingles/or meds like valtrex is only temporary?
I'm pretty sure any hairloss due to Valtrex or Shingles will be very temporary and slight; but I don't know much about stress. Is this shed I'm seeing just a one-day thing or is it typical to see a very prolonged stress reaction? Also, assuming I get well and de-stress myself; is this damage reversible?
It might not even be a massive problem; I've just been noticing for the past week that I'm losing maybe 25 hairs in the shower instead of the usual 10; and today it was about 40 hairs in the shower so that is what made me think it's time to ask this question.
Thanks a lot in advance; I hope all you guys are doing well with your own situations.
