Hey guys, so my detailed thread tracking pretty much monthly results of me being on finasteride seems to have disappeared. Im currently on the ropes between deciding if finasteride is doing anything or not for me.

NOTE: I went into surgery about 3 weeks ago and was placed in an induced coma for 3-4 days, i was also unable to take my finasteride for about a total of 8 days, do you think the drugs i was given for my induced coma/removal of epiglottic abscess in my throat (brutal and rare illness, i was so unlucky) took enough of a toll on my body to effect my hair? Ive read online that side effects of induced coma is hairloss so im trying to remain hopeful that things will turn around.

Picture with hoodie on is from october of last year, so about 1 month into finasteride. Picture of close up of hairline is literally from 1 or 2 days ago. What do you guys think, improvement or worsening? i personally feel as i have lost density but cant be 100% sure..

regimen: finasteride 1mg 3 days a week and .5 added in 2 days, friday and saturday are my weekends off from finasteride.
EDIT: forgot to add minoxidil 1x a day

on hairline only ?
if your croxn /vertex is not diffusin, then you are lucky .
Your recession is not visible to non norwood spotter

Nah, harsh lighting makes my hair look like complete sh*t, I may be a nw2-3 but not "thick" by any means, stop trying To downplay others situations just because. It's annoying and pretty dumb to be honest.

Ever since I got out of hospital I put way less on crown just enough to cover main thinning area, crown was never too much of a problem though, I agree recession isn't too bad just got big forehead syndrome but I hate the density of my hair

You must be delusional
Your hair did improve on the right side definitely. So you went above baseline. You are still a thick NW2. Did you finally let your brother know what you know about him?

I disagree with THICK nw2, if I don't style my hair right sh*t is see through, especially if I don't use products to help cosmetically thicken it.

I actually did not bring it up with my brother and don't think I will be, he seems like he has no intention of bringing it up or admitting it so I'll just let him tell me when he's ready. Plus its not my business, I saw something I wasn't supposed to so I'm just gonna leave it at that. Either way what does confirmation of a suspicion change? To be honest I don't think we're close enough for him to be open about it with me

Hate to say it, but your hair is starting to look like a Norwood 3.

You really need to stop microdosing, and probably consider using it at least five days a week (Finasteride), and not three.

Unfortunately, it does look like you lost some density. Start using Minoxidil and one milligram daily, if you can.

NW3? Really? His hairline is better than mine and i would consider myself NW2.5. I dont know about his density but i think his hairline looks a little better maybe. Either way @g.i joey you should get on finasteride every day. I know you are worried about sides but i think it would help your hair

I do see some improvement on the right.

You should definitely stop microdosing. Try to take it everyday for the best results. Even 0.25g will do.

My hairline is a Norwood 3+, with my top density getting better, but not fully there.

His hairline looks like it's in the triangular formation.

Honestly with out slating people who use finasteride or min I've used none will show you two pics of my hair line day before I started my method an a month later pic
And it costs peanuts I'm actually thinking what else to add to speed it up

If you look at pic with blue top my hair line dips back further but on other pic it's no longer dipped back but came in line with an pushed further forward

I managed to find a picture from wayyy before i started finasteride this time around, i think its safe to say i have gained some ground with this regimen as my hair has no density in this pic also, i seem to have more miniaturized hairs shaping out a more solid hairline than what i had in this pic.

also for those asking why i chose this dosing route, idk if any of you remember, but i took finasteride in 2014 at 1mg/day 7 days a week and experienced side effects, mostly brain fog and also gyno pains, weird thing is even when i had those sides i had and still have no sexual side effects whatsoever. I managed to completely cure the gyno withletrozole, but keep in mind i was also 30-40 pounds heavier so weight loss plus letro probably demolished any excess estrogen that created the tissue, i also managed to get early intervention, i treated my gyno within 1.5 months of it appearing, that to me is the key. The reason i dont want my dht to be reduced 7 days a week 24/7 is because i really dont want gyno to reoccur, ive managed to make it this far without any symptoms of gyno or brain fog and plan to keep it that way, so as much as i do appreciate the advice given to me about dosing daily, i really dont wanna take a chance with it

**Edited a word I put in the wrong place
