All we know is that it works at 1mg daily for 2 years. With that you have an 83% chance of results.

HairLossTalk.com

Just to clarify, you meant 5 years right?

No. 2 years. Everyone please go read the clinical studies :)
http://www.hairlosstalk.com/resourcelibrary (Propecia related)

The FDA trial that got Propecia approved involved:

1,553 Men
Duration of 2 years
Dose of 1mg daily
Results were 83% maintained exact hair count or increased in hair count.

There is a point in me quitting Saw Palmetto yes, but as bomb said if my beard is still deveoping maybe I should quit the DHT stuff and just go topical, it does seem like the best solution.

So now im thinking about quitting SP, I will obviously stick with revivogen and see how things go.. Any other opinions welcome, thanks guys.

HairLossTalk.com I think you are way to into statistics and way to technical man. All these products are proven safe and they work for a ton of people. Do you really think people would be selling saw palmetto and propecia if they permanetly messed up peoples hormones.

Like saw palmetto is a mild form of propecia. It states to keep a healthy balance of hormones. For instance:

Balding guy dht level = 80
Non balding guy dht level = 50

The saw palmetto will lower your dht level down 2 the average level. The majority of guys will take Propecia and they will not get any side effects. It has been tested and proven safe and if it really was giving so many people side effects it woulda been taken off the market years ago. I know a lot of guys who use propecia and got no side effects and it is no big deal for them.

Plus DHT only really contributes to like facial hair, body hair, and pubic hair. And from what I know it gives you your man power when you turn about 18. But once you get all of these things propecia should be ok for you to take. It wont prevent your body from aging correctly.

True for the trials, but now we have the 5 year study to rely on to prove that 1mg works for 5 years.
