Is there any simular cheaper but effective products than the Nanogen Locking Mist?

Someone said hairspray works, but I don't have a clue what to get? I live in the UK.

Any hairspray should do. I use Suave extra hold. It's cheap and it does the job. Also, don't know if they have it in the UK, but stay away from Aquanet. I mean, it will turn your hair into a helmet, so it works in that way, but you'll never be able to comb through your hair again, and you have to be real careful to not put too much on, as it tends to leave little white things in your hair when it dries.
