Hey all. Busy with life and kids. I still have my hair. Over the past 30 years (now 48) I've lost at most an inch on my hairline. I don't have my teen hair, but I have more hair than most of my friends, colleagues and family. I've received compliments on my hair from other men expressing envy. For that matter I've seen others start hairloss over 10-18 years later than me and Ive seen their hair disappear, and Ive maintained.
I used finasteride from 20 until I was 27, which was more effective but I stopped due to sides and didn't look back. If you don't experience sides I would prefer to take it, but for me it was not a good solution.
I am using minoxidil also, topical 1x per day (3 Years). I was also using oral 2.5 the past three months but am taking a break the past two weeks due to sides (sleep, fatigue, and libido). sides are gone. I'm due to reintroduce in the coming days and will do EOD. minoxidil has really elevated the game. Especially oral.

Thanks for the update. I am using the zix formula daily. I started using it after my transplant. Aside from zix I do head massage and red light therapy. Hopefully it will keep my transplanted hair.

If zix "works" for you, you never had significant hair loss to begin with

I think if you can find any 50 mgs zinc sulfate heptahydrate capsules it should be fine. Just make sure they arent mixed with anything else. I've been having trouble find it in canada lately.

For the record I've been trying to micro dose finasteride for a small boost, crushing 5mgs it in my minoxidil. Unfortunately I get sides. Have tapered down to a fraction of that (.25mls) 1-2x per week to see if I can tolerate that. I'm in disbelieve such a small dose has that impact.
