Oh yeah, I've being doing this since my 19th birthday so just about four years now. Minoxidil and propecia(currently generic finasteride due to corona shortages)

You had good coverage before the transplant and i wouldn't have done it if i were in your place, considering your very young, but i have to admit that it looks good and natural. Now if the treatment works and you manage to keep the hair you have in this condition 10-20 years i think it's ok, but if for whatever reason you would have to stop treatment, like sides or something else, it's not gonna look good, this considering how much your hair loss would advance under the treatment and how much hair finasteride is saving from falling... But it looks very good and natural, good luck

How much grafts and how much did it cost if you don't mind sharing the info?

1000 grafts at €3 per graft i think. Yeah i know its not standard advice to get hair transplant at my age but i had maintained for 4 years and i was sick of my hairline.

I'm much happier with my hair now than i was before that's for sure

You are assuming here new treatments won’t be out in the next 10 years. You can almost guarantee we will have Breezula, and Samumed available within 5 years. Who knows what will happen after that?

I’d feel pretty confident that if you can maintain for the next 5 years on min & finasteride, that there will be more options down the line, there’s no need to worry about getting a transplant at your age.

Very true indeed i hope for the best also but you know how it is, for some it depends also on how aggressive is the loss, but as you said if you are able to maintain with the current treatments there is no need to hurry with a transplant, it has a lot of downsides also that can't be reversed after...

If I were in your shoes, I would have done the same thing. You went conservative too which was a good call. Your research paid off and I am glad you are happy with your result. I have very similar hair characteristics to you so it's nice to know you can still get decent results like you did. All this self quarantine time would have been the perfect time to plan a hair transplant and recovery but unfortunately the event was unpredictable.

really good result man. You didn't get a shockloss ath the hairline?
How is your crown doing ? still on minoxidil? No dark circle / unwanted body hair / flaking from it ? thanks

Thanks man, yeah can't believe its been nearly 4 years. I'm still on treatments yeah, they are helping me to maintain quite well. It was a life altering decision to start these treatments and I'm so glad i did

I don't think i had any shock loss tbh, nothing noticable anyway

Hows your hair?
