So to give a bit of background, I’m 20 and have been losing my hair since I was about 17 or 18. It started with a little thinning on the crown and some hairline recession but by the time I was 19 I had extreme thinning all through out the top of my head. I decided that I personally didn’t want to go down the medication or surgical route so a hair piece was really my only other option besides shaving my head. I considered ordering a piece online myself and just going to whatever stylist would be willing to cut it but that was just way too stressful for me so I started looking into hair replacement specialists and salons in my area. I live in a pretty small town so my only options were hair club or ONE local salon that specializes in hair replacement but had no reviews or photos online. I had a consultation with the local salon a few weeks ago and felt pretty good about them so I decided to go for it since they’re really my only option (hair club gives me bad vibes especially going off what other people have said about it). I went in today and had no idea we were even applying the system today, I thought we were just making the template! The piece was bonded with a clear and very stringy glue and I think tape in some places as well. What really surprised me though was that she shaved the top of my head but left a small section of my natural hair line in the very front, I’ve never seen that done before online but it makes sense to me and I think it definitely makes the hairline look more natural. I’m pretty happy with it so far and I really haven’t experienced any discomfort but I want to get thoughts from people who don’t feel pressured to tell me it looks good. I will say I wish the hairline was a little more brushed back, however I think the way she styled it will be a lot more manageable while still giving me the sort of brushed back kind of quaffed look I wanted! I’ve also felt a few edges that are a little loose but honestly when I look in the mirror I can’t see them so I’m not too concerned but I’ll definitely mention it at my next appointment. So yeah...please share your thoughts on my results! Also for anyone wondering, the piece is some kind of lace but I’m not sure what kind. I meant to ask but I was so shocked that it was being applied today that I completely forgot to ask

It shouldn't cost that much.

I average mine at probably around £200/month all-in, which would be 4 systems a year fitted and cut-in, with occasional maintenance at salon and other maintenance at home. You will over time learn more self-maintenance and so the cost should decrease over the months/years.

There are guys on there that manage a whole year at £500!

Sorry for not responding sooner but thank you I’m honestly very happy with it! It’s going to cost me $239 a month which honestly is a lot less than I was expecting, especially after reading a lot of horror stories where some salons makes you pay thousands up front
