Minoxidil Cycle - When Should I Start?

Been on finasteride for six months and am currently going through what I think is a shed - temples have taken a hit and my hairline has crept back a tiny bit. Not sure whether it is a shed or a progression of male pattern baldness, but I'm waiting for at least 12 months first. During a period of stress today I bought three months of 5% minoxidil spray. I've read around and not quite sure when to start - apparently if I started minoxidil right now I'd cause another shed that should wait until the next finasteride shed cycle? Should I start as soon as it arrives or wait for the finasteride shed to finish (assuming it is one) and begin then?

I've never shed until the last two/three weeks so I'm not really sure of what is happening.

If a shed is going to happen, it will happen if you start now, or start later. Why wait? The goal is growth, which comes when you use minoxidil, not stare at it.
