I spike up the front and leave the temples slightly down and messy and my hairline is almost undetectable. Somewhat frustrating to accomplish on days where you're in a rush, which still leaves me wishing for a perfect easy to style hairline, but it could be much worse.

And my hair is 2-3 inches long, and when I fill it with gel and wax and sh*t, it piles as tall as the hair at the front which is spiked right up, 2-3 inches tall :) it looks positively thick. Ahhhh, this is the way it should be :D

Have you had any regowth or have you always been able to do that with your hair?

What are you using in your regimen?

How long have you been using treatments?

C'mon...spill!

Deaner I read your story. I have exactly the same thing going on on top.
Hairline is ok though. Really encouraging story.

Way to go.

The guy in Deaner's avatar is none other than Cletus (spelling) from the Simpsons.

that's the key hair style with bad temples. Cut the very front just a little shorter than the hair on top, flip that fron hair up and spikey, and push that hair forward over both temples. Cut the sides and back short.

Just to revive this thread slightly:

That success story is 7 months ago now, I'm on month 14 and things are just getting better and better with density. I woulda never dreamed of having hair this thick back when I was a freshman in University. But I also held out hope for better temples at the beginning of my regimen. Now I'm pretty convinced nothing's gonna happen with them, so I do what I can with the hairstyle to conceal it.

I actually LIKE it when people crack bald jokes around me, making fun of some dude's hairline or something, because it just reinforces the fact that when done properly, my hairline is undetectable. You wouldn't crack jokes about amputees in front of one, and most people would have the decency not to crack jokes about balding in front of a person who's balding.

Good luck to all of you with your hairloss, I'm truly thankful that I've had the results I have. And no, there is no change of heart with my hair these days, I always wake up feeling good about it now. The turbulence is gone.

That all sounds good Deaner, congrats. One thing about 'temples' I am confused about. Is temple hair the vertical hairline that runs with the sideburns on the sides right above the ears or is it the hair in the very corner of the hairline? Is it both?

Deaner, did you ever get new vellus hair and small dark hairs all over your hairline/temples? Did the hairline push forward at all?

When I think temples, I think the front left and right sections of your head, both the vertical part, and then the part that connects to your hairline sorta thing. Both have moved back together for me, so instead of having an area that juts out on the sides like most guys, it's perfectly flush and straight up, then it recedes at the hairline, making for quite the widow's peak.

I've had some pretty good vellous growth and such on the hairline, lots of tiny darker hairs right now, but they're not making any sort of cosmetic difference. In fact, they might just be hairs that are dying as my hairline slowly creeps farther back, I'm not even sure.

Hope that answers your questions.

I've always had those flush straight up and down sides as well and now they are getting darker and jutting forward more much to my surprise. Thought that'd be the very last place Id get regrowth
