Hello guys. Im 16 years old and I think I am
balding. Been this way since I was 14 years. Which norwood scale position is this? How to stop balding? Is this already really bad for my age? Father is norwood scale 2. Normally you dont see the receding hairline because of my naturally hair positioning.

Norwood 2. There's not much you can do at 16. Trying finasteride at 16 is risky and experimental, ultimately how you decide to proceed is up to you.

Hmm hard to tell based on those pictures but maybe almost nw2.5 which is pretty far back for 16... it looks thick though. Take pics with wet and slicked back hair to see if you have any thinning. If no thinning then take pics every 3 months to see if you are losing ground. If you are then your only real option is rogaine to hold it off until you are post pubertal

Should I try Rogaine? I heard it works well but what are the side effects?

Can get wrinkles and facial bloat, it’s a real b**ch to put on. If you start and stop you will trigger a telogen effluvium so once you start it’s really for life. Don’t rush into rogaine

Nah I’m not wanting to add that to my daily routine yet. I heard my dad had the same hairline at my age and it didn’t progress much up till now (still nw2/3). Maybe I should just ignore it and see how it will progress.

Yes probably. Except I would post pics with wet slicked back hair... I was just going to monitor until I realized I had diffuse thinning at which point I started propecia and rogaine. Thinning=active balding, just receeding can be stable

Hey guys. Today I was looking at my hair, and surprisingly I saw some really tiny hairs at the places where my hair is receding (the bald spots that aren’t supposed to be bald). I can’t take a picture of it because it’s too small. But is it possible there are hairs regrowing there? Or do all bald spots have little hairs?
