Likelihood of me being able to sustain my hair for another 2 years? [17M]

Basically I noticed I had the early stages of hair-loss about 3 months ago, and about three weeks ago I started finasteride, I'm using nizoral shampoo as well. I haven't been using minoxidil because I don't really feel as though I have enough loss to justify it yet, but If you guys think it'd be helpful I'd consider it for sure.

Also the reason for two years is because I want to keep my hair till I graduate highschool. After that I'd keep using the medication's, I just wouldn't really care if my hair fell out because I don't think I'd look bad with a buzz or completely clean shaven.

Would probably have still looked fine in 2 years even without finasteride imo. Now that you started finasteride you should be able to keep it much longer after 2 years. Not even sure if I would have started finasteride that early tbh.

Since your hair loss is not too aggressive, you should stay about the same for at least 5 years. And with treatments even longer.

Your definately not gonna lose it in 2 years! My hair loss started young but its still hanging in there now at 27 (with treatments).

Honestly man I really wouldn't. I don't even care that much as is. I get why some dudes would but my hair has never really been the reason why I've been able to have relationships with girls. I've always had pretty subpar-average hair and I don't think losing it would have a dramatic effect on my life. I mean I'd rather keep it but I don't care that much ya feel?

No offense but why would you even start finasteride so early then? If it's to keep hair for graduation, there is no way you would lose much in 2 years. You are only 17 and are you sure that's male pattern baldness?

Well because as I said I'd RATHER keep my hair, and I'd do what I can to keep it, but if I did lose it I wouldn't be too distraught over it.

The reason I started finasteride early is because I know hair is easier to just maintain than it is to regrow. Personally I believe in clinical studies more over personal anecdotes from people who may or may not be just suffering the placebo effect of thinking they have side effects (not saying that the side effects aren't real and very possible, just that I think people over blow it quite a bit, just my opinion). Also I consulted with a dermatologist who said that I was both in the very early stages of male pattern baldness and that the likelihood of side effects is relatively low and wouldn't persist after I stopped taking the drug.

Yeah that video pretty much motivated me to know whenever I start seriously losing it it's all coming off haha. Joking, kinda.
