I'd say so. I agree with @Cowboys fan that there is a lot of growth hormones in food nowadays. I know as I am a vegetarian who is transitioning into Veganism. Diets of people in the 21st century are also a lot worse than compared to the previous ones. I believe the reason Caucasians seem to bald more frequently than other races is due to dairy consumption ( all other races are lactose intolerant ) Dairy is toxic to the body, it's thick and goopy which will clog up your pores and veins.. And also your scalp!
I don't know if you know who Nick Shell and Vegetable Police are, but when they became Vegan their hair loss slowed down/reversed. I think its something you should consider, better for you, your hair and the planet too :)

I'm fairly sure it's the expansion of the Western diet across the world that is causing higher and earlier rates of balding. I've read that hair loss fundamentally boils down to inflammation in the body and a lack of blood flow from that, which in turn causes hair to fall out due to lack of blood.

I do believe inflammation plays a part, but why doesn't inflammation cause loss of body hair?

Kind of experience something similar too. I read an article not too long ago that found that vegans had slightly higher levels of androgens.

Yes but he was norwood 2 by the time he was 22 and still able to keep a decent hair and a wife. That gives me hope :D
If you go vegan! If you remember in one of his timeline videos he states that when he became vegan was when his hair loss really slowed down. I think with a nutritional vegan diet and treatments you will be in the best possible condition to maintain/regrow hair.

He still has a decent amount of hair because that is in his genes (look at his dad). Not because of anything he did or did not do. I was a Norwood 2 when I was 17 and I am still A Norwood 2 (slightly thinner) with barely any treatments in the last 10 years.

I like Nick Shell. He's pretty much the first port of call for every guy who starts to wonder if they're losing their hair. I emailed him asking about my Norwood status and he responded straight away. However, I can't take a guy seriously when he theorizes that your hair as a baby is an indicator into whether you'll suffer from male pattern baldness.

Also, I doubt him being vegan has anything to do with his stabilisation.

Why is that? As Cowboys fan stated above many foods these days contain hormones ( especially dairy products ) which is usually testosterone. No scientist needs to tell you that more testosterone = more DHT!
It makes sense that by being Vegan and not putting these additional hormones in your body that your hair loss would lessen/slow down. I currently am still eating dairy but I have cut back significantly. You'd be surprised how many foods contain it, chips/crisps, certain pastas, noodles, protein shakes, biscuits, dips, etc. Even if you don't believe Veganism would be beneficial for hair ( which it is ) it's still a much healthier lifestyle. Check out vegetablepolice's video on hair loss. He was almost slick up front but since he became vegan he actually regained a lot of density.
