The clinic was also verified to be 'legit' by any means as the person who ran (runs? - dunno if it's still up) it was the researcher and some kind of co-founder of Kerastem. I remember it was a female doctor - and apparently a good looking one too, judging by some of the poster's responses. :D

LOL Our MGTOW posters will have a field day with this.
A good looking female Dr experimenting on men with hair loss AND taking 5 grand for the privilege?? Pff.
(JK a little humor to lighten up the on going depression of hair loss and the limitation of treatments)

@hairblues

A little of topic, but I was just going to say that imo and from my perspective, and from the information I remember from you talking about your hairloss, I think you defo are on the right path to solve the problem when looking into these type of procedures. For a brief moment in time there, you did also look into transplants, something I observed by the information you have given, would not be the right choice for yourself. I would not send you on this path with the righ counscience if I was a doctor. Patience is a virtue they say :)

From my perspective, I think it looks a lot like you could potentially gain much by treading lighter in form of procedures such as Histogen, Shiseide and maybe this one. You just seem like the perfect candidate for some of the upcoming treatments, mainly Shiseido. That's of course speaking by the information you have giving and in present time.

It's a shame that Histogen are lagging so hard as it seems, because for people like yourself, that may be all that is needed. So, if I were you, I would pursue look out for those, especially now that they're seemingly not that far away. Baby steps with medication is also prefferable.

Understand I have written this with the best intentions, and may have assumed some things...and if that bothers you, please just forgive ^^

I appreciate it, I am not bothered at all.

I do have very dense, thick donor area that is stable so far, I have all 3 and 4 hair clusters back there...but I am still concerned to do hair transplant because I have not read any accounts that are positive from women who have had a hair transplant.
But I only came across a few account of female hair transplant on forums.
All negative.
It seems risky even if you have a good stable donor site.

I consulted wth a prominent surgeon, he said he prefers to see me use medication to thicken up strands and then 'possibly' do a small hair transplant just to fill in small areas. I am not sure his reasoning but the more I learn about hair transplant it may be his way to avoid 'shock loss' which seems to decimate the female hair transplant patients I have read about.
I don't know why this decimates women and they lose so much ground compared to the men who get shock loss.
Men seem (generally speaking) to bounce back from shock loss within a year..women seem to lose ground within a year of post op.

I commented on that recent post:
It took 4 months to see a halt to my major shedding (which I had before), for 1 month I had no hair loss at all, for 2-3 months in total my hair was thicker. After 8 months the results are now fading away. I had regrowth but I also had a major shedding before, so I would not attribute it to the treatment.
It definitely thickened my hair but it's a very invasive procedure, you need weeks to recover from the bruises, etc.
If it was cheaper & less painful I would do it again. But for that kind of results & money I don’t think it’s worth it.
I also went to a transplant surgeon, which said my donour area is perfect but mentioned the shock loss in women as a very common thing.

Thanks for commenting Sofia.

Just curious did you try PRP before trying Kerastem?
I only ask because in my mind I see a similarity between these procedures (although I know they are different).

I didn't try it because the doctor(woman) I went to had even worse hair loss then I did, so I guessed if she couldn't help herself how would that help me! Plus she mentioned shedding and that was it.
Also the transplant surgeon ) had less hair then me too. When I asked her, she said that she is not a good candidate.
About the clinic in Serbia it is all true, they are very modern, friendly and she was honest. The doctor who is directly involved in the Kerastem trials is not the good looking, it's her partner who left to the states to help with the trials.

This must be her...she is from Serbia and working with Dr Epstein, she specializes in stem cell research it says in one photo of her. I am always like 'meh' about Dr Epstein when I read about him... I don't trust Doctors who specialize in hair transplant AND facial plastic surgery.
I am also suspect of people who do facial AND body plastic surgery as well..pick one speciality to be perfect in.
To me its comparable If I need a heart surgeon I don't want him/her to also be the person who is taking out my appendix or gall bladder---two completely separate specialties.

Now I am thinking this kind of stinks.

Wow! This is wonderful news to know there's still more players pushing forward with hair regeneration.

I've heard about Kerastem, but didn't ever look too much into it since the study was small.

I did not know that they had such an increase (31 hairs PER cm2) with only one injection though, that is excellent!

What really caught my eye here was that they did it with adipose fat! That just further supports evidence of Costarelis' suggestion that adipocytes do indeed contribute to hair regeneration and even skin regeneration!

Tsuji's 3D Bioengineered Integumentary Organ System also utilized adipose tissue that was linked to hair as well.

Great to see there's repeated success with this!

I read about this a few days ago when I visited hairlosscure2020, but I didn't really know what to think of it.

In Switzerland it does cost 8.000 francs. There was one guy Cristopher1 or something like that, who had it done there. He reported that it stopped the hair loss for about 8-9 months and then it resumed.

From the UK trial most of patients look like they grew slightly more hair if at any at all, however the best result seems to be this one below. Saying that there was one or two guys who did have success at regrowing hair but they had the procedure done in Switzerland.

Its not much but I guess for men who had that much hair loss--it might feel good to get that much back and be a bridge to other treatments...but its a lot of money.

Damn, I was hoping to get this done in Switzerland as I'm too young for a transplant. Oh well I think I'll wait for the data of the trials to come out before deciding.

I had to look up currency of swiss francs to USD...it's over 8 grand? If this is correct it is way way too much.

I live in Switzerland, everything is expensive but that price was ridiculous. I am convinced I got exactly the same treatment in Serbia, they showed me the machine from Kerastem, I had someone waiting for me at the airport, hotel, etc.
Just as a comparison, I got a quote for a hair transplant for 8000 francs, I still wouldn't do it because of shock loss but so you see how ridiculous that price is.

The surgeon told me it's more common in women then men. I don't know if it grows back, I'm sure others here know. More often women end up worse then before... unfortunately.
