Okay,

I promised you guys I would keep you updated on my progress. I switched from a total thin skin unit to a thin skin with a lace front. It has been great. My salon sees be about every 3 weeks during the summer (love them), 1 or 2 if I wanted...I just cannot drive up there that often. They are using tape, and walker products on me now. My hairline and outer base is being held down with ultra-hold max 3 and it is working fantastic. It holds the bond, even with yard work and weather 90+ degree for about 3 weeks, I touch it up around day 16, usually right in the middle where I sweat terrible. They use some scalp prep products and my system was extended today for another 3 weeks. I am having some shedding the back, but I have a TON of yard work to do and I did not want to subject my new system to it. So they cut my hair a bit and cleaned up my system and I am good to go. Keep in mind, this system has seen a ton of sun, dirt from a dump truck (had a load brought it), and hours our digging fence posts. I think overall, it has held up well for being a VR at 7 weeks old + my abuse.

The downside is that I have to touch up really - it takes me about 30 minutes, but I am VERY active so it’s the price you pay I suppose. Also, I am tired and did not do much with my hair, lol

Looks a bit suspicious. I am not going to lie.

Color , and density looks fine, but the hairline placement is to straight.

it would look more natural if it was lower on your forehead. YOur lack of temple points and NW7 '|' Shaped sides makes it look some what un natural.

go for a more freestyle look. its to fixed....

I was thinking that about my hairline too. The lady that attached it worked on it a bit so that might be why it looks like that now. I am curious, what gives away the NW7 via the sides? I usually do a side part that looks nice I think, this time I was literally outta time and told them to just brush it up.

Hi Nemesis

I think that looks very good overall. I don't agree with the earlier comments about placement or about your temples. I would like to see a profile view to confirm it, but it looks to me that you have the placement just about right, considering where your temple hair is.

I think 99% of the population would register your hair as looking completely natural, so what I have to say now is really a nitpicking point for obsessives. The style you currently wear can be one that people who know about hairpieces can pick up on. There is the thick straight front hairline of hair (some lucky bastards do have natural hair like that, but most people have a thinner edge to their hairlines and a wavier more uneven line). There is also the fact that the edge of your lace base is exposed to full view, and no matter how well glued down it is some people can pick that there is a microthin "something" between your hair and your scalp, especially if they are already suspicious that there may be a hairpiece in place. You could, if you think it worthwhile, eliminate this problem by adopting a style which puts your hairline in slight shade - eg brushing your hair slightly forward and THEN back. Have a look at Ben Affleck's hair - he nearly always wears a style like this: brushed back hair but with the hairline slightly in the shade.

Thank you gentlemen for all the advice. Another issue I think is this system is getting old - I am wearing it past its expiration date so to speak since I have a ton of yard work to do and I don't want to bleach out or sweat out a new system - workouts do that enough already.

I really do appreciate the input and advice!!!! This helps me get the most out of my salon. I think will look into alternative hair styles, however, I normally wear it in a large side part - I was in a SUPER HURRY this day and told her to just "do whatever."

Thanks guys!
