We had a BBQ a while back during this pandemic, we replicated the Nando's chicken, friends liked it!

its not that these societies have "less disease", its that their small groups have built the immunities to the few diseases they did encounter. those who didnt died. Id wager more survival of the fittest than anything to do with genetics or diet. Take one of those small groups and introduce this years flu and see how fast they get decimated because of something new theyve ever encountered.

Oh yes, not even corona but ordinary influenza would cause problems for some uncontacted tribes. That's how many native americans and africans died back in the day, just purely due to coming into contact with diseases they never had. We don't need to worry about survival of the fittest so we go back to the whole "reproduce carefully" idea
