And my hair is shedding like crazy. It might be because it Fall as my hair started to shed 7 days after using minoxidil... my scalp is dramatically thinning.

I'm waiting a few months to see if my hair stops falling (I tried it 3 years ago and it completely stopped my hairloss) and I'm going to see a dermatologist. The plan is to use finasteride if it does not stop.

If the hair that's falling out is big and strong/healthy looking this is typical tellogen efluvium and should pass within 1-2 months on it. It usually means you are getting a good response.

I'm going through the same thing. It is the second time I "started" minoxidil. Same happened last time. It settled down last time after a bit.

You will likely need finasteride either way since you otherwise the androgens will continue to damage your hair.

The hair is big indeed but I know the "bulb" or "root" of it has reduced in size over the past 10 years. Are you using foam or liquid?

Liquid. Get on finasteride.

I'm still losing a lot of hair. It's been more than a month since I started minoxidil. My scalp is getting less and less dense very quickly. Hope it will stop soon. The hair that falls is weak and I'm not even sure I can see the bulb (root)

Sheds typically last anywhere inbetween 2 weeks to 2 months. Hopefully your shed will stop soon.

Thanks for the info appreciate it! I hope it stops or drastically reduced my hair loss. Last time I tried minoxidil for three months (I have thicker hair back in 2013) I remember my hair to become very strong and I was barely losing any anymore after 1month and a half.

That sounds promising from my limited experience I had 4 years ago but with topical minoxidil. Your hair should feel stronger especially in the shower. Any reason you jumped on oral instead of topical?

I definitely lose less hair now than before treatment so thats a good sign i believe. I chose oral as topical is just so much hassle, and the results from oral can be dramatic, while topical results are usually meh.

Tons of people got solid results with topical. It's not that bad if you use liquid after the shower once a day. There is also the foam but not sure it's as effective as topical even though some studies have proven it is as and even more effective.

I wouldnt say tons, few and far between get good results. Ive seen pics of people who were almost completely bald get back to like NW2 and some half bald getting all their hair back from using oral. I think liquid is more effective than the foam, but dont quote me as ive never tried either. Only read peoples personal experiences
